Looks super cozy! Much nicer than a sterile hotel stay.

That’s why I love Airbnbs. Always so much more “homey.” And usually less expensive.

One of THE only AirBB that I have seen (or even hotel rooms) that is HANDICAP FRIENDLY. The level paved walk, no barrier entry, floor level shower, and looks open enough for a walker if not a wheelchair!!

I would suggest to the owners to add two things– a STABLE PLATFORM STEP to aid some one to get in/out of bed (most hotel beds now are far too high for kids, seniors, short people and handicapped), and a sturdy BATH SEAT. This does not have to be a sterile hospital looking shower chair, Amazon has options, or the *bench* style is MUCH more attractive and has no back to get in the way & take up room. (They do make folding ones, I don’t reccommend, ended up on a hotel shower floor when it failed, the legs are not known for their good design, spread too far and seperate from the seat)

We use a sturdy steel folding platform step with adjustable legs and a non-slip top for our outside RV step, we fold it up to about 3″ and take it with us to hotels etc. You can buy these on Amazon for about $50, far less than RV places sell them.

I like the kitchen area but even a one burner cook *stove* for a quick bowl of soup or warming a bottle or breakfast eggs would be a great addition, if one is not already hidden away!!

Awesome to know! Maybe they designed it that way thinking it could be a granny pad someday down the road — so long as they add those finishes you discussed.

Looks like a bog standard motel room in NZ to me. Nothing special about it.

Except this is in Austin, TX… Experience NZ motel at non-NZ prices… They’re trying to steal your tourism (j/k) ;-p …

Ha ha, don’t need to worry there, Covid 19 has decimated tourism for some time.
