Many Ukrainians have had to flee their homes due to the Russian invasion, and while some have left Ukraine altogether, plenty of others have fled to Western Ukraine. And it’s there that the Polish government has funded a “tiny house village” of prefab structures.
While most of the structures will only be used as temporary housing, plenty of the fleeing Ukrainians have lost their homes and will need permanent housing solutions. Perhaps in brighter days these cubes can be separated and reused on their own little lots.

VIDEO: Prefab Homes Built in Western Ukraine
Prefab housing for 350 internally displaced people (IDPs) has been constructed in Lviv, western Ukraine, as the city struggles to cope with a massive influx of people fleeing fighting in the south and east of the country. Mayor Andriy Sadoviy said some 50,000 IDPs would stay in the city longer term. Before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Lviv had a population of some 720,000.

I was thinking just about this a week into the war that Europe needed to start building large amounts of these so Ukrainians can go home.
They should be simple, well built enough to last decades they can live in while they rebuild their lives.
and we should use confiscated Russian government funds to pay for them, rebuilding Ukraine.
Their military has done a great job reducing Russia’s army to scrap every time they attack the Ukrainians though at great cost.
Glory to Ukraine. Drive what is left of the Russian army back to Russia!!
Funding housing using confiscated Russian funds is brilliant.
P4P (yours truly…founder) spent a couple of months in Ukraine recently, doing groundwork for our forthcoming operations there beginning this coming April. Our goal is to provide Emergency Temporary Housing to IDP families (clients) whose homes the Russians have destroyed… to be placed on their home site, so they will have a somewhat comfortable place to live while they rebuild. We have made a few basic decisions, based on many conversations with Ukrainians on the streets and in their damaged homes. When we return in April we plan to a) Build a prototype in Warsaw, with the goal of forming partnerships with existing NGOs, b) Focusing operations in villages, specifically in and near Borodyanka, particularly Zahaltsi and Torf’yane. We now have three clients in Zahaltsi, whose homes had been destroyed. We have interviewed them and will edit this video content for a new website we are building. We want to tell these real-life stories on a personal level to inform people all over the world the truth about the human toll the war is having, and to sustain humanitarian support for Ukraine. We are moving forward as quickly as possible to register our NGO and establish credibility to attract funding. At present, the founder provides his modest funds as the only financial support. We are a small NGO, but our dreams are large. We need volunteers to establish factories to build our modular homes we call CARE PODS. See designs at Panels4Peace.org.
