Quite unique but a little claustrophobic, could be something to tell an interesting story about afterwards.

Haha yes. Confessions: I’m way too claustrophobic to stay in there haha.

Now THIS comes close to “Now I’ve seen everything!” Kudos–lots of kudos–to the people who thought of this. To the ones who commented on size and/or claustrophobia, have you ever lived in a single room in a college dorm? I don’t think my room was any bigger than that cell–but I did have the advantage of no roommates.

Sadly quirky.com doesn’t give any history, and I have a huge curiosity bump. What prison was it originally? When was it built? How long was it used as a prison? Were there any big name criminals who were incarcerated in those cells? Yes I’m warped and macabre. I admit it. 😀

It wasn’t a prison previously, it’s just a themed accommodation, for fun… It was actually just a former wine cellar of a Grade II-listed Georgian property that they converted… Not sure if they based it on any particular prison, but many reviews joke it’s a lot more comfortable than a real prison and trips to the shower are a lot less eventful…

There’s quite a few places like this that go off some creative theme ideas… Like a plane cockpit, torture chamber, caves, tropical tiki huts, space ships, castle, etc. There’s even a hotel that have multiple rooms, with each having a different theme…

Well, am sure stripes would look fine on me. I want to go there. Of course not for years. Real cool.
