Tiny House On A Farm In Scottsville

This post contains affiliate links.

This tiny home on a farm is the perfect pastoral getaway in historic Scottsville Virginia. The 25-acre farm has all kinds of animals, from goats to peacocks to livestock guardian dogs. They roam around while you stay in a beautiful one-floor tiny house.

The home sits on a foundation and includes a kitchen and bathroom. There’s a lovely outdoor fire pit where you can make s’mores or hang out. Also, the getaway is pet-friendly (so long as they’ll be friendly to the resident livestock).

Overall it’s a cute little place but I have to say that it leaves me feeling like the owner just didn’t have the energy or determination to finish it. Yes, the basics are there but very unfinished looking, especially that kitchen area. Cupboards and a countertop would go a long way to making it feel more like home away from home and, please, try to disguise that washer/dryer a bit and lower the drainage box so it is below the level of the washer top. Why make it such an eyesore? Some upper cabinets could go there and maybe even a pantry or place to hang clothes. The small island on wheels is a great idea but I’d gladly give up that for a more finished look and a place to put things out of sight. A little more effort and this could be a real stunner! And maybe a little income is needed before it can be finished. Ok. I can understand that but it will be so much better when it is finished. I do like that it feels quite roomy even though so small and the layout makes sense. Wishing you good luck for success.

sounds so very relaxing! pictures of the kitchen don’t show anywhere to store dishes, silverware, pots and pans but they are listed so I’ll believe them, can’t imagine where sleeping areas are either but it sounds like a nice place to visit.

It is a nice place for a relaxing time on vacation getaway. The kitchen does have 2 shelves under the Kitchen cart for dishes. There is a basket under the sink for a something, also there’s the 2 seats at the dining table for
storage of pans, maybe. I’m sure it will have more when someone comes. I see the couch is a daybed .It is a lovely place for walks and calm. maybe some peacock sounds to wake you up. I know they can get up in trees and talk. Goats will eat up the weed and tall grass, And perhaps some goats milk or cheese.

I am wondering what that chimney is for. There is no fireplace inside the house. And it does not look like there is one on the outside either. Else the fireplace is covered by the sofabed. Strange.
