Very nice, and spacious! I imagine most people with tiny houses do not move them very often, thought I’m sure there are a few who do. In most states the permit to move a park model is not expensive, in some it’s as cheap as $20. Regulations vary wildly, with some states only requiring extra signage and flags, and other states that require either a professional driver and/or a trailing vehicle. Regardless, moving a park model is very rarely a proposition breaking ordeal. The extra space is significant enought to make this a consideration!

I visited the website and loved all the cottages, they are really nicely decorated, and the layouts are well thought out and seem really spacious.
Thanks for sharing so many fun and different ideas for Tiny Living.

Lots of smart ides going on here. The integrated outdoor living is a smart choice, as is the extended porch. As they say, bring the outside in (to make the house seem bigger) and inside out (great friends, good food, and lots of cold ones). The glass in lieu of spindles is a great idea for keeping things safe up-top while making the space seem expansive. Thanks, Alex!

Are these pictures of the same house? Comparing pictures of the dining and kitchen area if you look closely are not the same.
    Cute house otherwise.

Not only are the kitchens in the pics different, the floor plan shows something different than either. Very similar, and maybe different models with small changes made. I do like this very much, though.

I agree Hal. The floorplan and the pictures of livingroom and stairs are different. The cottage is stunning otherwise.

THIS IS SPECTACULAR, IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE AN EXTREME DOWNSIZED MANSION, IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE, BUT IT IS TRUE. THANKS FOR THE PHOTOS OF THE INTERIOR AND JUST KEEP THEM COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The price must include the property. 330,000

    • Eric
      April 29, 2016, 11:49 pm

Nope. The price is for the house ON the campground land. For which you would pay a monthly rental for use of. That to me is almost as bad as being part of a HOA. Never will I ever countenance such a thing for me.

I do not ever want anything resembling a condo or HOA fee. Nice houses, nice location however I wonder abut the resale value.

For a crazy $330,000 for park model under 400sqft that better include several couple acres of pristine land and the hot maid to clean the place from American Horror Story season one. 😀

Think Katrina Nadreau might just be your “hot maid” from “American Horror Story.” Sorry, couldn’t resist from her ever so enthusiastic response.

So, I figured the living square footage of the bottom floor to be about 400 sqft, the loft and balcony to be about 200sqft each. I calculated it out a few times.

Using pretty good materials in the build, and actually building a foundation, getting permitting, etc (because that is the direction we are thinking of going), the total cost to build in our neck of the woods (Utah) comes out to about $70k.

    April 19, 2015, 12:35 pm

The photos do not match or depict the floor plan.

    • Eric
      April 29, 2016, 11:47 pm

You are soooooo right. What you are seeing is the Townsend model externally and mostly internally. But the upstairs sleeping loft does not match the floor plans… no sliding door between the two sleeping areas. Plus… the sleeping loft pictures have a curved roof. LOL, someone half asleep when adding pictures??? Ah, happens to us all at some time or other. Me personally, heh, more often than not.

  • Jeremiah
    May 14, 2015, 12:16 am

I totally love this unit but in my neck of the woods $300,000 gets you a bran new custom home around 4,000 square foot with lake front property. This unit could probably be custom built here for maybe $42,000 no land $70,000 on ski lake.

This does include land and Seattle lakefront is REALLY expensive.

Such Luxury for a small home! I love both decks with fireplaces. Noticed only one bath for the 3 bedrooms. That could be a problem.
Anyway….more house than I need but enjoyed the lookly.

    • Eric
      February 29, 2016, 3:53 am

1 bath is a problem? Gosh, when I was a kid I used to walk 15 miles to school in snow drifts 15 feet high. In summer. Now THAT was a problem…

      1st world problems eh?

      • Kim G
        February 29, 2016, 12:12 pm

Eric just a note- age, gender and health all play an important role in the number of bathrooms a person needs. Trust me when I say that it’s not just for luxury purposes.

        • Eric
          May 5, 2017, 10:31 pm

Really? Does everyone in a home “need” to bathe at the same time? I don’t think so, one can always work around these things, even if a household member is severely physically, or otherwise, disabled.

          Been there, done that.

  • Michael

When looked at the plan does not match the pictures.

  • Cathe
    August 13, 2015, 10:04 pm

I love this, however the floor plan does not match the house show…I’m confused …. I see the basics are there, but if you show a plan, and pictures I really think they should be of the same house.. (Kitchen different… No dining in floor plan). But I still love it

Alex it is a good start to where the Park Model RV industry should be going. These are one of a kind and built in small lots of probably less that 20 a year. They are not Factory type construction and are VERY Superior in quality fit and finish. I love them. I hope they consider some of my plans as I always have a half bath as well as the en suite and washer/dryer, dish washer systems.

It is of no small wonder that I should come about Tiny Houses via a link from another site trying to find more information on this lovely home…! I think it has it’s roots from a container truck box, but I could be wrong.. If not, it still could be accomplished through the use of couple of those boxes and some modest creative thinking… Never the less a stunningly beautiful home… And the potential of growth as the need comes along, it would be an ideal home for that new and upcoming couple, planning to have a family…! Enjoy young lovers, for true love only comes but once in a life time..

The kitchen photo and the kitchen shown from the dining room are two different kitchens…they almost look the same but the stove top and range with an oven give it away. Great little homeplan with kitchen options!

Beautiful home. I like everything about it, but could have it built by a mountain lake here in Colorado for a lot less money.

      February 29, 2016, 5:59 am

Lots of ways to expand on your dream of a tiny home by the lake, as I’m sure there are thousands of others who have dreamt that very same thing.. And everyone of them also believe that they know the way to build one cheaper, or a lake somewhere else to build one for cheaper on.! All their doing here is showing you someone else’s dream, and at what they thought was a bargain price to have their dream home by the lake built…! I would love to see your dream home by the lake when it is built, As I’m sure it will be just as beautiful or better…!

Question, what is the purpose of a tiny home when the cost far surpasses the average price of a decent 1200 – 1500 sf home where I live? Sure, the footprint is much smaller and the home is lovely but cost per square foot is so high, I just don’t get it.

  • Donna
    July 18, 2016, 6:59 pm

Lovely, but rather pricey, especially when you can only live in (or rent out) these homes for 180 days per year.

  • Jennifer

If you line the floors with pvc pipes that have holes, put a rubber floor covering that has holes with metal grid to keep it feeling level, and you have the start of a rain collection system. I love the floor plan, not crazy about the builder’s realization.

I know exactly what I would like. It is the simplest thing, so why does it seem so unattainable. I would like a simple shed roof cabin house, large enough to have an off center middle wall.

It would be entryway with storage, walking into living room with stove, passing through to u shaped kitchen with dining.

This living side would be lots of French doors opening onto deck, and kitchen area might have door too, lots of windows.

Behind the LR wall, pass through, walk through spaces from end-to-end.

The tall wall would have bathroom, walk through closet with tall storage, stuff goes there, tall walls and windows on wall side provide natural light.

800sq ft. Quality shed roof cabin, natural modern feel. Simple.

DOES ANYONE know how to get something like this?

Just a simple retirement home. Affordable. Any suggestions.

I would really appreciate any help.

Is there any problem with water pooling up on the roof deck? And how would you fix any kind of water damage as a result? Could you put a rooftop garden up there?

    • Eric
      November 29, 2020, 3:16 am

There could be… but, it only takes a few millimetres slope of the roof to solve that problem.

Could you put a rooftop garden up there? Absolutely, BUT you would need to advise your builder so that adequate strengthening can be part of the structure.
