Parents, A Toddler, Baby and Dog: Adventure Bus Life

As a former mom of two-under-two, I’m incredibly impressed that Ben and Mia managed to buy and convert this school bus into their full-time home while juggling a baby and barely-toddler! They actually first built a tiny house while living in Sweden (where Mia is from), before moving stateside and choosing a skoolie conversion.

Ben says the school bus was more fun to work on, overall, and they’ve made it an awesome home. Inside you’ll find bunks for both kiddos, a shower with tub, safe hookups for the kids’ car seats, and an impressively pared-down toy collection for the children. All in all, they spent $11,000 on the bus, and another $11,000 on the conversion.

Check out their awesome botanical decor and get all the solar array details in the video tour with Jenna from Tiny House Giant Journey below.

Mia says they tossed all their plastic toys and got down to the basics.

It feels incredibly bright and open inside.

Selas loves his bunk, complete with hand-painted owl.

And Nora loves her own little cubby as well.

What a wonderful family you have at what wonderful memories you are making for them! You’ve made a great cozy home for them. I agree with getting rid of the plastic! Classic wooden learning toys are the best! Have a blessed life and enjoy your travels! Susan

Yes I agree too! Plastic toys that make noise are the worst.

What a lovely home! Lots of seating, and I love the storage under the seating as well. The kids are adorable and have lots of space to explore. Would love to see more one day. I am really a fan of bus living!! Wish the family safe travels and lots of adventure!

I love it! I think you figured out a really good floor plan. The simple decor is very appealing too; should be comfortable to live with. Beautiful family. I agree with Marsha, above: would love to hear from this family again, see how it all works out.

This is one of the few schoolies that I actually like. It also looks like it has a Scandinavian touch. I like the shower tub, too.

Yes I find that Scandinavian decor is quite fitting for tiny homes.
