This is a beautiful Australian tiny house on wheels with a murphy bed built into the design. Also, it’s a steel-framed tiny house which makes it more lightweight and therefore more pleasant to tow and maneuver.

It’s wonderful! It even has a built-in outdoor space with overhead coverage so you’re not stuck out of luck in the rain. It’s called the Beach Shack and it’s built by a company called Tiny Homes Tilba Australia. For a 21-foot tiny house, we think it packs quite the punch! What do you think?

This is the SaltBox Tiny House by Extraordinary Structures that features an amazing Murphy bed to keep you from needing to sleep in a loft.

The interior is crisp and very modern, with stainless steel counter tops and unfinished wooden walls. I really like the aesthetic, and I enjoyed taking the video tour with the builders (see it below the pictures!) to learn all about the house.

If you haven’t seen the 200 sq. ft. Zen in Law tiny house yet I think you’ll be glad you did today.

It’s a 10′ x 20′ studio was designed and built for a local author near downtown Boise, Idaho.

He wanted to have space for writing, doing workshops and hosting the occasional guest.

But if it were mine I’d like to live in it full-time because it’s AWESOME…

You’d just have to be willing to use the kind of scary ladder to the loft.

But besides that, I think you’ll agree that it could make a great full-time tiny house.

It was designed by Gravitas LC and is actually available as a vacation rental on AirBNB by the owners.

One thing that’s different about it is that it has a murphy bed in the loft.

I’m excited to show you my friend Joe’s latest tiny house build. He’s the man behind Tennessee Tiny Homes who I got to have beers with while at Deek and Steven’s Relaxshacks.com workshop in North Carolina earlier this year. The house has already been delivered to a customer near the Arkansas/Louisiana border.

I think you’ll enjoy the interior because for some reason most people don’t end up installing murphy beds in tiny houses. And I just don’t get that. But Joe finally did just that and I’d love to read your thoughts about it in the comments. I think it’s a great way to avoid the need for a sleeping loft and you can instead use the available loft space for storage. You’ve got to love the built in porch, too. I’m sure it disassembles relatively easy for when you need to tow the house. But for me something like this is a must.

Small space furniture helps you create more storage with the same square footage thanks to smart design.

That’s why I went to visit my local Murphy Bed Center.

Also known as the More Space Place.

Surprisingly I hardly ever see many people utilizing Murphy beds in small spaces.

Maybe it’s because of the price, I don’t know.

But either way they seem to be a great solution for your tiny or small house.

Thanks to multipurpose furniture like this you’re able to…

  • Hide your bed up against the wall when you’re not using it
  • Bring down a desk that was otherwise hidden
  • Turn your living room into a guest bedroom

The possibilities can be endless. So here’s what I found while I was there.
