Mario wanted a way to travel stealthily but still have room to spread out when he found a campervan-friendly spot. So he designed it himself! Altogether, he spent about $40k (in Euros) on his unfolding box truck, doing some work himself and then hiring some freelancers to finish the job.

He used the best features and materials for his solar setup, heating/cooling systems, and water system to make sure the process of living on the road was as nice as possible. While you can fully use the campervan when it’s closed up, the front, back and side open up to create extra rooms! Tell us what you think.

Robert was living in Oregon, hunting, fishing, hiking, and chasing his dreams of working at a local restaurant he admired. He had finally made it — he got the job! — when a drunk driver pinned Robert between the vehicle and a tree and Robert lost his leg. For a long time, Robert felt aimless, until he found himself throwing a bed in the back of his utility trailer and spending a few weeks camping.

That was the beginning of Robert’s journey to his nomadic lifestyle. He eventually got a second, larger cargo trailer and made it into his home sweet home. He loves the desert in particular and has made his cargo trailer house meet his needs.

Savannah had dreams on #vanlife but originally was worried about what others would think of her. Thankfully, she decided to outfit her own DIY van after realizing no one was living her life but her!

The “Babe Cave” she built is gorgeous, with a full-sized bed, micro kitchen, and space for her cat and copilot, George. You’ll love the huge drawers that she can access from the back of her van in the garage space.

Blaine loved his life of international travel, but the pandemic shut the world down back in 2020 and he was looking for something to satisfy his wanderlust. When he dove into #vanlife research, he found his niche! His Ford Transit conversion is simple and stealthy and allows him to go just about anywhere.

At 6’3″, he needed to carefully craft his van so he could stand up and fully lay down in his bed — and he succeeded! The interior has a log-cabin vibe, while the exterior has nothing indicating it’s a home and not a work van. Very creative!

The Ruthardt family has done so much over the past decade! They built a mortgage-free tiny house/homestead, sold it, jumped into van life and traveled the country, then purchased this gym space in Oklahoma and transformed in into a living and working space. They are off on yet another adventure and selling their home and business.

The front of the building is their gym, with new equipment purchased in 2020. In the back there’s a whole “tiny home” set up, and in the very back a huge garage with a washer/dryer and workshop space. There’s even a backyard with raised beds! They were paying their mortgage with the gym income, so you might be able to do the same.
