This is the story of one couple’s beautiful, cozy, and stealthy cargo trailer tiny house conversion named Minnie. It’s a 112-sq.-ft. trailer turned into a very nice camper!

Why is it so exciting? Well, when you see it you’ll understand. But it features a king bed, full bath with toilet and shower, and a flip-up table. It’s really cool what you can do with one of these trailers, don’t you think? With this one, they used the area over the trailer hitch to create a spacious shower.

This is a shuttle-bus turned into an off-grid motor-cabin. And guess what? It’s available for $54,500 as I write this via Van Life Trader out of Denver, Colorado. The sellers used it as a mobile ski cabin while in Colorado, but they’re moving to Europe, so this love-shack needs new ownership.

According to the listing, it was converted from shuttle bus to cabin back in 2018. It’s a 1994 Ford E-350 with 81,000 miles, 2WD, automatic, with a diesel engine. There are two seatbelts and it’s designed to sleep two. What do you think?

There are so many reasons to go tiny: To reduce costs, to live “greener,” to travel more — and for Talia, to have a clean and simple living area that helps her live well as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). We got to interview Talia and she tells us more about what it means to be an HSP, her tiny life, and her work helping others live more simply.

Her home was built for her by Mint Tiny Homes in British Columbia, and Talia said she had a great experience with the builder. Inside she has a loft bedroom, comfortable living area, kitchen complete with a farmhouse sink, and a spacious bathroom with a subway tile shower.

Enjoy the photo tour and our Q&A with Talia!

Like so many parents, Laura and Matt were working too hard to try and keep up with their $2,000/month mortgage and all their other bills on the dream home they built. But unlike many people, they sold the home and bought and renovated a bus so they could travel and appreciate minimalism!

They’ve been travelling (except during the shut-down) for just over a year now, and have plans to finish their round-Australia road trip once everything opens up again. Their bus includes three beds, a kitchen with an oven, and even a hide-away toilet (watch the video tour to find it!).

The couple told us they do have plans in the next year or so to purchase land where they can build a tiny house and have some roots, a washing machine, and a warm bath, but it doesn’t sound like they’re ever going back to “normal” life. Don’t miss our Q&A with them at the end of the post!
