Ontario Dream Tiny Home On Wheels For Sale Now!

This post contains affiliate links.

This is a “large” tiny house for sale in Ontario right now — and it really is a dream! It utilizes pull-outs to provide extra width in the living area, which as we’ve seen before, really opens up the space.

The kitchen has stunning turqoise appliances, and the full bathroom on the other side of the THOW has a full soaking tub, a washer, and a Separatte toilet so you can go off-grid. There’s also a stand-alone solar set-up for power, and a fairly big (for a tiny house) wood burning stove with a pebble hearth. Cute! The owner is asking $199,000 on Facebook Marketplace.

Very beautiful. The layout and colours are all in the right places. This is well lit and cozy at the same time. Beautiful wood in the right accents finished to show off all the awesome grain and knots. Even the floor matches the wood on the walls. The turquoise really makes things pop.

So many wonderful things about this THOW! The colors are amazing! The use of woods, the tree branch, the space under the stove, all wonderful. I have only 3 complaints (if this were going to be MY THOW), so they may not be of concern for the owners. The Sofa area: The cushion seems quite thin, so for me wouldn’t be comfortable for much sitting, but that is easily changed with time and more money as well as the cabinet below with the doors opening UP. That makes getting into that cabinet very difficult. I’m old, so this may not concern anyone other than me. Secondly, the bottom step of the stairs seems really high. I’m hoping that step folds down or something. Lastly, the toilet. I know this is an incredible machine and there is a step, so that didn’t concern me as much as the space side to side. This is not a prime pooping position as there is no space. Maybe it is wide enough (30″ is really needed to get a “job” done). I always wonder if this is just not planned out very well or if this is done on purpose. I know it’s difficult to plan more space for the toilet, but we spend a considerable amount of time on it, it shouldn’t be overlooked.

I do love this THOW though. These are just observations I make when considering if it were my own THOW. I only point them out for others to consider the pros and cons of these items.

The toilet should be around 22″ wide but it also protrudes into the walkway. So your side to side isn’t actually obstructed to the right, only to the left but your leg would be where the door frame is and provide you a few inches before running into the door… Though, it may be an issue that’s an exterior door…

While this may not matter much but the sofa is actually a day bed and it appears to be recessed. So that’s only the top of the mattress showing… May still not be thick enough but there’s at least a bit more than visible there…

This thow seems overpriced to me, no AC or overhead fans to distribute heat from stove throughout home, finishes aren’t high end and stairs seem very steep. Half Wall in loft doesn’t seem to be storage so nothing in the loft and the door up there is simply a full door cut down to fit a smaller opening, there are large windows up there for egress so the space could have been used for some built in storage. No pantry or corner storage in kitchen and that cabinet over the refrigerator is probably useless except for infrequently used items that aren’t too heavy to get up and down with on a ladder – wonder how the hot water is provided since it isn’t mentioned and that is a very unusual cabinet in the bathroom that seems to open downward to the countertop. The table and stool/chairs are past the living area and away from the kitchen and I’m with JanneZack about the toilet and couch area. Sorry but not impressed with anything here but the slide out which I think should be used in more thow. Guess I’m just picky when it comes to expensive tiny homes (and I know this isn’t the most expensive that has been featured).

Well, it’s in Canada, which usually means heating is much more the priority than cooling. While solar power has its limits, especially in Canada. So something like a Mini-Split would be less practical in that scenario.

The wood stove is right in the middle, which is optimal for heating, and there’s a ventilation system, though, doesn’t say which specifically but it’s at least a HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation), if not ERV. So there is airflow, with the air being refreshed and circulated throughout the year without needing to open any windows…

Slide out prevents anything being near the kitchen but the stairs do have built in storage, as well as the day-bed/sofa… While the half wall in the loft looks to open up to the space below, which suggest it serves a different purpose…

For the cabinet above the washer/dryer… Note, 12th photo down you can see the hinges above, on the right side of it, and the latches holding it shut near the handles. Then, 13th Photo down you can see the hatch for it in the floor of the loft… So that’s a laundry chute/hamper… and looks like it opens in more than one way…

The bathroom also has storage and shelving between the bathroom entrance and the tub/shower…

While, I suspect there’s a propane gas water heater or furnace in the right cabinet in the kitchen as the cabinet door there has a small vent in the door and that is about where the gas supply enters the home from the tanks in front of the home…

Price is also in CAD and it’s been lowered to $185,000 CAD. So that’s $144,559.00 USD… While it’s generally more expensive in Canada and homes there usually have to deal with more extreme or longer winters, which can add to the costs… Along with what may be included but not really mentioned like the solar power system, etc.
