You’re such a lucky guy! I wish the USA were a wee bit closer to Europe ;P

Mopsa, the information that you would need to build one of these tiny homes is readily available on the internet and also from bookstores like Amazon, etc., that sell books on plumbing, wiring and framing, etc. It’s really not hard to build one of these small homes if you take the time to do your homework and research. The people that are paying people like Jay Shafer, etc., all the money that they do are people that ultimately either don’t want to be bothered with all the mundane aspects of building a tiny home or are too lazy to do the work (i.e., educate themselves). Get out on the internet and look around. There are other alternative building styles also that might interest you like Earthships, Cord-wood Construction, Straw Bale Construction, etc. There is a wealth of knowledge at your finger tips on the internet. Take advantage of it.

oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! so long waiting on disability, you have no idea how little of a shoestring is left. I am only 100 miles away just outside Rutland VT yet have zero funding to get there…Bother!!!! Ah well, obviously not meant to be for me right now. So frustrating to be so close, and yet so far…. Alex, lots of pictures pleeeeaaaaase, and blogging. If you are heading south on your way home through the Rutland area, maybe I can meet you. I have just over 5 acres, and would love to have a few tiny houses with people doing the sharecropper thing. Grrrrrr, so, so, so, jealous!
    (not really) I think…. LOL
Have tons of fun!! learn lots.

Small cabins are very inexpensive to build, less then you think.
Built 6 so far, most expensive was $10k others were as low as $1200.
