This is the story of Nate and his box truck tiny house conversion. Originally, he bought the 1989 Ford E350 for $9,250. The best part is that it only had 33K miles on it. Turns out, it wasn’t really being driven very much, it was being used as a mostly stationary bunkhouse/cabin in Auburn.
So Nate proceeded to gut it so he could start a new build from scratch. Now it’s completely customized and features redwood inside, a lift kit, 4-wheel drive conversion, a DIY composting toilet, and much more. He Bought A Used Box Truck And Turned It Into His DIY 4×4 Motorhome
The interior is basic and cozy – like a cabin!
Also, you can access the cockpit easily from inside to go back and forth from living mode to driving mode, which can be handy when you’re moving around frequently.

Great homebuilt motor home. Better than the flimsy sheeeite they sell these days. Just one note: As is usual, too much rear end weight too far past the end of the back axle
Brilliant build! Congrats on your fabulous home. Especially like the way you did the toilet roll out of the way for more space when showering. I always thought thats a bit crowded on those types. And LOVE the window in the bathroom door. Your awesome, one of my favorite designs, have it on many things myself! You should design these types for others that want to truly go off grid with trucks. Thank you for your inspiration!
well and economic built. Offering a mobile building service without high location cost is worth to try although for my taste its a bit dark and rustic.
