This is the story of the Dance Tiny House by Build Tiny in New Zealand. Enjoy!

In August of 2018, we had the pleasure of meeting our client and her 9-month-old baby girl. She had seen the Baxter on our website and it had a lot of the features she was after.

Mom builds a BEAUTIFUL custom tiny house

With practicality and safety in mind, she really wanted the two lofts to be joint somehow. This idea really excited us and we were keen to make changes to the design to accommodate her request.

Absolutely LOVE this THOW’s! Sleek lines, simply furnished, but it has everything you need. @Leslie- there’s a pull out baby gate that moves from the wall to the railing to prevent baby from falling down through the hole where the removable ladder is placed when in use.

Seriously like this. The second loft I would use a little differently but I like the catwalk idea maybe even expand enough on that to add some shelving…Like the rolling cabinet design for added counterspace bc you can never have ENOUGH counterspace. Bathroom is ok, but I really like the master and the kitchen and the storage. Also the open living space is nice too. Seems more like its own space. Win Win on this one!

This house is awesome. I love the bedroom space. Since we don’t have any kids I’d use the bonus room as an office space/hobby room. I love that both my dogs could join me in the loft & has safety rails. The kitchen is great & I love the storage in the stairs. A few things I’d change, swap out washer in kitchen for small dishwasher. Relocate washer, maybe upstairs, probably a pain. I’m just not a fan of laundry in the kitchen. I’d add a flush toilet instead of manual compost, personal preference. & if it fit a soaking tub. Even a water trough style. But over all super nice & design layout is perfect for me.

I’m in love with this design! Seriously. The only thing would have put it differently – the dishwasher and washing machine and the toilet would change to another.

That’s really nice. Clean lines, well designed, light and airy. Do you get much of a problem with Whitetails?

What. On. Earth. Is a whitetail?

A type of deer, but should only be in the South Island of New Zealand, which has the only herds of white-tail deer in the southern hemisphere.
