This is the MoonShadow Tiny Vacation Cabin at Blue Moon Rising in Maryland.

The quaint spot has a queen bed (downstairs!) and an adorable green Dutch door leading into the home. I like the simplicity of this cabin: Everything you need, nothing you don’t. The bathroom includes a clawfoot tub for soaking after a day of hiking!

Lovely open living area with those cute Dutch doors.

A perfect snug reading nook over by the window.

Curl into this queen bed for a good night’s sleep.

A lounge chair and built-in shelving which is handy.

Gotta love a clawfoot tub and beautiful hardwood floors.

Pedestal sink and the bathroom door closed.

The shingles and board and batten siding combination is beautiful.

Love the beautiful forest. I could live here.

From Blue Moon Rising:

From the cul-de-sac on the top of the hill a private cart path leads to MoonShadow. Cedar shakes contrast boldly with the black board and baton siding that surround the bay window. An antique half- door stands out, under the tin roof of the porch, overlooking an oak-hickory forest. Designed for two MoonShadow has a queen size bed off the gathering area, and an expanded bathroom to accommodate for a claw foot bathtub. As with all the Waldens, here at Blue Moon, care has been taken to use eco-friendly products, from our bamboo countertops to the hand crafted light fixtures. Get closer to the one you love by getting away from everything else, hide-a-way at MoonShadow, one of our Deep Creek Lake cabin rentals.

Ths is really pretty. I love the exterior colors and how they help the house to blend into the forest. It’s very nice.

This little cabin is definitely not shadowed by the moon, or anything else, as it is a nice little place in the woods, and in right proportion to live in buy someone looking to downs size but not to the extreme of which we all come to love… It is just a bit bigger…!

I agree, an awesome size! For one or two, I think you could live comfortably 🙂

I probably could, but it would have to be here in my beloved Florida…! All my adult life I have had lived here, and there, where ever the company needed me most, but never forgetting my love for this state with it’s crystal clear blue waters, to fish and swim… You just can’t get that any where else in the states…!

My wife and I have been interested in tiny homes for years, so last year we stayed at Blue Moon. The people were great, and the concept cabins are interesting to live in for two days as we did–they do not feel cramped at all. But our cabin had only a futon as furniture and it was so uncomfortable that we ended up just dumping our luggage on it. It literally was unsittable. It is pretty amazing how a 200-250 sq ft space can feel like “enough” and with just a few tweaks our cabin could have easily been a full-time shelter for at least two and possibly three people.

Wow! That’s great to hear Jay (the liveable part, not how bad the futon was!)
