210 Sq. Ft. Modern Treehouse Tiny Home

This post contains affiliate links.

This 210 square feet modern treehouse tiny home by Baumraum architects.

The reason it was built was for a group of scouts in the area so they can camp and stay in it on the almke camp site.

Before you even get up to the cabin using the staircase you notice there are two micro structures separated by a common outdoor deck area.

And each one is slightly different in terms of elevation (see what I mean below).

Ready to go inside? It all starts with the staircase that you can see in the photo above. Once you’re up you’re greeted by the common deck which combines both structures that make up the treehouse tiny home. Enjoy below…

The lower structure is used for sleeping (we’ll go in there in a minute so you can see the bunk beds).

The upper structure is used as a kitchen and eating area. See more below.

boy scouts????? very very rich troop of boy scouts! seems like the boy scouts should build their own structures, at least partially, to earn merit badges.

Incredible! We have so many trees here on the ranch that we could build an entire village.

Building TH’s might be another “project” the boy scouts could earn badges on if the troop leaders know how. Maybe the Boy Scouts of America could spare the expense to send the leaders to the workshops. Just a thought. hehehe
Thanks Alex, ya know I love this! This kind for stationary times or “home port”
and TH on wheels to go when one wants or needs to go. Thank you and God bless you all. Lord bless our boy scouts always!

Hey, Alex! I know that you get bombarded with loads of emails so hopefully you’ll SEE this post.

There’s a BIG brouhaha going on in Chicago today, with a meeting of the City of Schaumburg zoning committee tonight over a TREE-HOUSE and future regulations!

I thought it might make for an interesting future topic for you; here’s a link, there’s tons more on the web. http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20150506/news/150509142/

With everything still up in the air about my tiny house (the county says they aren’t pursuing the appeal of the variance we were granted, but the renegade codes department – aided and abetted by the interim administrator – went to the state in a Hail Mary appeal), I see multiple battles but ultimate acceptance facing tiny homes. People have to have a place to live!
Tree houses? Oh, yeah, why not? It is time to throw away the cookie cutters and embrace diversity and originality!

This is super nice but I worry about only wooden beams holding up the whole thing.

All “stick built” (I hate that American term) houses have wooden beams to hold them up! What is your issue regarding standard building practices for a “treehouse”???

So between the rusting of leafy branches, the birds singing and the life that vibrates aroud us I see that every day here reborn, and peace stimulates me to true joy.

TREE HOUSE DID NOT LOOK NOTHING LIKE THIS WHEN I WAS GROWING UP. I NOTICE TOO, THAT THESE TREE HOUSES ARE LOOKING SIMILAR TO CABINS, AND CABINS ARE NOW LOOKING LIKE MANSIONS. MORE CHOICES TO CHOOSE FROM; A HEALTHY CONCEPT. THINGS WOULD LOOK AWFUL AND BLAND IF WE ALL WOULD LOVE AND LIKE THE SAME THINGS.

These are the stunning and excellent results of those who have Architecture in the DNA.
