With only a mini fridge (not even a microwave? Really?) I’m not sure that room rates being called a kitchen.

Dishes out in the open given the toilet a couple feet away doesn’t give me a good feeling, either.

Has no one heard of closing the lid on the toilet? And think one candle covers both rooms! I could deal with it. Cool idea using a small space? Anyone?

If I were there alone and left the clean dishes in the dishwasher, the bathroom/kitchen combo might be, MIGHT BE, doable…but not so much with another person. And then I would have to make the bed, either, so there is THAT plus.

the kitchen/bathroom combo is great for this tiny space. it’s not meant to be lived in full time so as a weekend rental its pretty smart.

I almost missed the bathroom/kitchen combo until I saw the reflection of the mirror over the sink. GROSS!

I’m in Ontario Canada), where I know building code puts strict parameters on kitchen-to-bathroom proximity. It’s regarded as a sanitary issue, much in the same way plumbing-to-electrical is a safety consideration. TH exemptions aside, I tend to agree. Otherswise, I like this simple place a lot.

I totally agree I’d like the two separate 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team

I would put a little wall up between kitchen and bathroom, however that would mean there would need to be another (tiny?) sink in the bathroom. I must admit my first response was similar to others here about the bathroom/kitchen combined space.. and then I realized that this is really just a ‘hotel’ room (although a cute one). We have all likely had to use our hotel bathrooms to wash fruit or for minor food prep. I don’t like that idea, but it is what happens in short stay units without full ammenities.

If I think of this as a hotel room, then not unusual to have the glasses/coffee mugs in the bathroom…
If I think of this as a home, ekkk…
Having said that – relocate the fridge and carry on.
