Love the layout! Wonder how much it would cost to build one of these?

I like the layout too. They seem fairly simple. I would like to know the approximate cost, too. Wouldn’t it be cool getting to build a 3-4 of them on one property? You could live in one and rent the others out. Creating a tiny home for yourself and for others.

I like it also. Widen the bathroom a bit (ditch skinny Ikea sink), switch interior doors for pocket or barn/sliders and I’ll upgrade to really excited.
Would love to see plans; at least dimensions.
        Thanks for posting!

Nice and simple construction a good carpenter and a helper could build one of these in 3-6 days after a slab is poured, which is easy too though hire an experienced person and have 2 strong helpers,
    correct floats, etc.
Now wood is so high priced and a solid floor keeps things warm in winter and cool in summer, is the better option. Make it worth 2x as much too.
And just the right width, about 10′ which enables standard furniture and something on each side of the room, very flexible.
Though mine is only 16′ long and use a couch bed, only cost $4k including hiring some help as I’m too handicapped/old to do the heavy stuff, even pounding nails hurts.
But I’ve been screwing wood together and put mine together with carpenter’s glue and screws.

Like other respondents, I love the simple layout and construction of these and could see living in one.

I’ve often wondered if tiny or even small house living could be accessible and am pleased to see that the answer is a solid maybe with this floorplan and the comment above. 😊

Nice and easily livable. But, I don’t like how close they are to each other. That removes all the appeal.

Will, I agree 100%. Packing them together has about the same appeal as living in a motel.

    Livable! To say the least!
Nicely appointed. I like the whole thing….I’ll take it. =)
Did anyone find out who the designer of these places was?
Wouldn’t mind getting the plans for this one.

At the rate our population is exploding, tiny house living is the wave of the future. Also I think that with so much student debt, a tiny house may be the only way to home ownership

What are the dimensions of this? I’m having difficulty seeing how each is 500 Sq’.

don’t know how bedroom closet doors could open being so close to the bed – two closets in bedroom or is one for the bathroom-if so everyone to use the bathroom would have to go through the bedroom to do it

I think the bathroom entrance is at the end of the house, by the kitchen.
See the 3rd pic down from the top. The open door at the end is the bedroom, but there’s another one, to the right, behind the kitchen wall.
I believe that is the bathroom.
I’m betting the other door seen in the bedroom might be a second entrance to the bathroom.
My sister and her ex had a little farm house at one time that was made that way.

I also would like to see and possibly purchase the plans. This layout seems ideal for my disabled son.

I am finding it hard to come up with 500 sq ft. Anyone have a floor plan or outside dimensions?

    Why is that Joe?
No dimensions are given, so why would you question the claim?
Anyway, maybe Winona can help you. Here’s her AirBnB page on those places – https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/26030021?source_impression_id=p3_1584296591_jRD2nMgVrL7m2xhF

    I need a 2 bedroom and a second bathroom
It’s a wonderful plan for the elderly.

The only thing I would change would be in the kitchen. I would substitute two corner cabinets with carousel shelves on either side of the range/stove. It seems that those corners are only wasted space with the existing cabinets with no access. Other than that, it’s a nice little space and very livable! And can’t we all imagine how we would spruce it up with our own decorations? Could be scrumptious!

      I love the term “scrumptious”!

If you had an acre of land you could put 4 to 6 of these on it and have plenty of room in between for privacy fences.

    • Fred
      July 16, 2020, 2:56 am

      Curtis,

      I did the math…try 17….yep, 17 units, plus an extra 1000 sq.ft. spot.
      An acre is 43600 sq.ft. (200′ x 218′).
      If you put one unit on a 50′ x 50′ space, that’s 2500 sq.ft., per unit.
      43600 / 2500 = 17.44.
That means 17 units would use up 42,500 sq. ft. of space.
If you did it as a little housing “village”, you could probably run a little access road through the complex to take up the extra 1000 sq. ft. (although it might end up being a foot path with such little space left over).
…..might have to shrink those “properties” down a little. Maybe 40′ x 40′, to make room for the access road.

      • Fred
        July 20, 2020, 11:52 am

The access road thing bugged me, so I recalculated the acre of property allowing for access roads that would lace through the village as a grid, including a perimeter road.
I used 15′ as the road width.
I ended up only having room for 7 tiny homes on that same acre.
You could squeeze in a 8th home, but the lot would be a bit smaller at approx. 39′ square.

What is the trenching for water supply and sewer to these units?

      Hmmm I’m afraid I don’t know.
