A little too much for me but I’ll bet kids do love it – wonder where it all gets stored?

Did you make some of these decorations? And if you did is it out of wood? I love your life size candy house!

Oh the children in the neighborhood love it I bet…what a thoughtful and sweet woman she is to do this. I love her sense of life and humor, we all should be so lucky to be that kind and compassionate to others.

Is this a Tiny house on wheels? If so who built this home? Love it! I would like to build one the same size, but without all the Christmas decorations. I didn’t see where she says who built it or where it is located.

Actually the link to the tiny house on this page is not my house, a different Michelle. You can see more pics of the house if you search “Michelles Pawsitively tiny house update 5 years later”

Hi Michele, sorry about that! I fixed the link on the article just now!

If this was just for Christmas, that would be lots of fun but if I was a neighbor and it was up all year? Not so much. A little bit of gingerbread goes a long way and this would be too much year round. If she wants to create a fantasy for her grand kids, I’m all for it but please, for the sake of the neighbors, do the bulk of it in the back yard. Leave just enough out front to make us all smile but not so much that it makes us cringe.

First my neighbors adore it, and not sure why people think this was year round, they are “christmas decorations”, and like everyone else that puts up Christmas decorations, they come down after new years day. It was for fun for my grandchildren who absolutely love it as do the neighbor children, so I guess adults just don’t get it, and that’s 100 per cent ok with me.

Thanks Natalie, and it does not bother me, but it saddens me people can not see the good and joy in simple silly things. I plan on doing even more next year in the empty lot next to me, making a full size walk thru candyland. It has brought so much joy to my neighbors and I was actually featured on the local news channel so I have had many visitors who have enjoyed it as well. Not to mention my grandchildren will never forget it..and that’s what it is all about!!!

Hi Michelle, I love the gingerbread themed decorations. At one point you were thinking of selling your tiny home to help care for your parents. Have your circumstances changed and will you be able to stay in your tiny home? When you put a back door in how did you reroute your water pipes it l9ks like they ran along the back wall. Thanks and I love your tiny home. Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Teena, and yes I did sell my tiny house and bought a house across the street from my parents. I never rerouted my water pipes, just stepped over them, it really never bothered me much. Although I am very happy in my new home, I miss my tiny house. I also took an early retirement to care for them, so I have made several major life changes. My seven years living in my tiny house were amazing, and I feel blessed being able to make my tiny house dreams come true.

Nope, giving from the heart to bring joy and fun to her grand kids can never be called a mockery of that day!
