This post contains affiliate links.

This is Exploring Alternatives’ Mat & Danielle’s new, DIY van conversion that’s based on a high top 2015 Ford Transit Van.

They’ve been living, traveling, and working out of their own van conversion for a while now, and have recently had the opportunity to upgrade to a customized van conversion which you’re getting to see right here and now. Yes, they designed and built it themselves and I think you might find this to be one of the most beautiful and most well thought out van conversions out there. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Absolutely brilliant! Definitely this is one van conversion that I’ll remember. You did a great job. It’s seems you love our planet. Wish there would be more people like you two. Take care and my best wishes for you.

Very impressive! One of the best van conversions I have seen to date. One can see that much time, thought and energy has gone into every detail. Well done!! Thanks for the links.

If you’d watched the video you’d have seen they have a portable gas stove that they can pack away when not in use.

Dayne – I don’t know about them, but after five years in my class C, I’ve only used the stove once. *Maybe* twice. I buy deli chickens, tuna, and a lot veggies and hummus. I have an electric teapot for hot water, and the stove has had a cutting board on it for over four years.

I am living inna vintage (93) RV, with a full kitchen. 4 burner propane stove, gas oven and a micro/convection oven. I’m lucky our gas oven may be the ONLY RV oven on the planet that works perfectly. The convection can be dicey, last week we tried tonmake Pillsbury biscuits and altho they looked fine tho hard on the OUTSIDE the insides were burned!! How does THAT happen?? And I too do deli chicken, if I catch it right at WM I can score several just pulled from the discount case, break em down, and the 2 humans and smallndog are very happy!! Rotiss chik + Tzatziki Sauce + diced cuke + feta= heaven.

This is totally awesome. Certainly the best conversion I have seen.

You have everything on there and still it doesn’t feel small.

    Great job!

I love this one. All the little tips and tricks you’ve utilized are genius. And I love that you added a bathroom. I could not live in anything without one. I also love how you addressed the problem with ventilation. Just all around wonderful.
