Marmol Radziner’s Modernist Cabin in Joshua Tree

This post contains affiliate links.

This stunning modernist cabin sits on 5 acres in the Joshua Tree desert. While the Marmol Radziner architecture is gorgeous, you simply can’t beat the rugged and beautiful terrain surrounding the home.

Inside features one bedroom and one bath, but you’ll get an exterior shower (with plexiglass so you can enjoy the views) as well as a two-person tub sitting across from imposing boulders on site. A covered exterior patio lets you enjoy everything Joshua Tree has to offer.

Seriously the pop up ads are too distracting

      Agreed.
Some commercials ‘feature’ tiny hearts dancing across the page.
Just to read about yet another ‘holocaust survivor’ making it big in hollywood… not worth it.

The house is very fun. I guess out in the middle of nowhere, it’s ok to have it be so open and no window coverings that can be closed for more privacy. We live on a hill where no neighbors can look in so we do understand wanting to take full advantage of the view at all times of the day. I think the main thing I would change…and this is a personal preference only…would be using cooler colors instead of the reds, oranges and yellows. Yes, they are desert colors but with how hot it gets out there, having splashes of greens, blues and purples would be soothing.

Well, the main big window has a pull down blinder to cover it and the porch area has those opaque walls to limit view to the sides, and there is the trees providing some coverage… While there is at least a tiny bit of other colors of the seating in the porch area… Could add decor for additional color splashes… Maybe an oasis theme art curtain for the bathing areas, etc.

I can’t figure out why but I like this home a whole lot and would love to stay there a couple of knights. Great architecture for sure.
