Marine & Navy Vet’s Catamaran Life w/ Trampoline!

This post contains affiliate links.

Marine Corp veteran, Lee, and Navy Navigator, Nick, ditched “normal” about a year ago and purchased a 2004 Lagoon 440F Catamaran which they plan on living in until they retire from military life and can travel the world in their vessel.

Turns out this Catamaran has actually already circumnavigated the globe with its first owners, and now holds the “blood, sweat, and tears” of Lee & Nick as they constantly work on maintaining the older boat.

It’s far from truly “tiny,” with a number of berths, three heads, and a huge deck-top lounge area perfect for hosting parties. There are even trampolines! But it’s great to see people living alternatively. Watch the full tour with Tiny Home Tours below.

Lee & Nick’s Dream to Circumnavigate the Globe in Their Catamaran

They have lots of indoor entertaining space (as well as plenty outside, too).

They also have the cutest dog with them!

That is so cool. This should qualify as a “tiny house” when compared to the large ocean. Wonderful that they found such a healthy way to celebrate and live, while waiting for discharge. Would not have their courage, but tip my hat to all that find the sea the perfect place to find a great life. I live by the sea, but not one it. Their residence has so many unique and impressive features, I cannot pick one that it best. Good luck in all your sailings, and appreciate all the memories you are creating.

Absolutely amazing home! It has so much space! You kept showing more and more bedrooms and baths, and I was wondering where in the world they were, but then came to my senses and realized there are two boats underneath your main floor, so you have 4 “ends” to your boats (please pardon my lack of marine jargon; I don’t live near water, unfortunately) in which to put your sleepers. The other spaces were wonderful as well, especially your outside entertainment seating. I love Aussies! My Aussie of twelve years was named Robin, and, oh, how I miss her : ( It’s a lovely and spacious home, and you are wonderful hosts. Happy sailing!

While I love cats having built, lived on them 20 yrs newbies need to understand the cost, work to buy, maintain this size a craft is large.
I didn’t watch the video as too long but from the pics this boat is worth about $200k plus.
While it is beautiful, fast, fun, most are far better off with an under 32′ one. My 32′ I lived in 1 hull and at times rented out the other.
Even sailing the bigger one can be dangerous with much higher forces while doable, you need to know what you are doing more, the larger the boat. And everything costs by the length, the longer to more dockage, haul out, bottom paint, etc.
So buy just enough boat and no more if you want to own it instead of it owning you. And you’ll be much happier.
