Lovers’ Retreat in a….Boot?

This post contains affiliate links.

That’s right! This is a Lovers’ Retreat in a Boot created out of ferrocement on New Zealand’s South Island.

It’s part of the family-owned Jester House Cafe compound, where the family runs a cafe and manages a few whimsical getaways which they built. You can book your stay here.

Thankfully Bryce Langston of Living Big in a Tiny House did a great video tour of the place to get us all the details. Thanks to our reader, Paul, for sending us the link to this great place!

This boot house is wonderful. It reminds me of a shoe store that was shaped like a boot in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. I remember driving by it as a child and thinking how magical and whimsical it looked.

Oh that’s so neat! I should see if it’s still around.
