I wonder if that price includes the dirt it’s setting on and if so, how much land?

      Nope, listing states no land…

I hate an abundance of wood walls and/or ceilings. But that’s a personal preference.

    Love the layout though.

And what is the funny wooden thing on the wall at the foot of the bed?

Typically, it’s the circuit breaker box… Code requirements can make it hard to place in a hidden area. So they usually figure ways to help blend it in and not stick out as much…

Of course… just never seen (noticed?) it before. Thanks for that James D.

In the bedroom the wall is showing it’s a panel that looks like a picture.
It opens up and the panel box is there. I had one of those by Green River. Absolutely the best log cabin I ever owned. Sorry I sold it.

Now THIS is what I have been missing for a long time…..the natural beauty of wood, undestroyed by paint…so warm and cozy!

The floor plan is a good one and I can imagine myself living in this. The kitchen isn’t as big as I would like but it is more usable than many I have seen…it has a decent amount of counter space and the cabinets would hold what you need in a downsized home. I’m not gobsmacked but with a few changes, I could fall in love with it. The log cabin exterior is fun and I like it but I do have a problem with the interior. Maybe a bit too much wood but I could live with it if it was clear wood instead of knotty pine. All those knots make it way too busy. I have never been a fan though I know people who would cringe at my complaint! To each their own. If knotty pine was the only wood available, I would probably paint at least a few walls to give the eyes a place to rest from all that knotty activity. It’s all a matter of personal preference, of course! Overall, I would say this is a very good result and could serve many people very well! Add in my own furniture and belongings and it would be very homey. Bravo!
