Is it me or is there no privacy for the shower and why would I want a toilet under my bed that doesn’t flush? Count me out.

Marcia, water flush toilets use up a lot of water and this is basically a camper where you will usually be parked out in nature and usually not near sewer lines… So not using up to 80% of your portable water supply for a flush toilet means up to 80% more for washing and drinking and means you can boondock/camp longer…

Some would also consider it a plus not to have to keep emptying a black tank, which you likely won’t get 100% clean… and usually means towing the camper to a facility that will let you flush your tank or emptying it into a portable tank and taking it to the facilities that way for the dump…

But this kinda does flush, it’s a Dry Flush system that puts the waste into vacuum sealed bags… It’s good for about 17 flushes per cartridge and then there’s a large black bag that’s part of the cartridge and you just pull it up with all the little bags inside of it that you can throw out with the trash… You’ll never smell or have to directly handle any of the waste, which isn’t guaranteed with a black tank that can leak which also requires you to use water to flush and clean out the tube pipe you use to flush out the tank…

Well that makes sense! Thanks James. This was more for camping than living. On the same page now but even so, if I were camping with my husband I don’t think I would want either if us going to the bathroom while the other one sleeps. Not that adventurous but thanks.

    The price is grossly excessive.

Dana Turner, things like Aluminum framing is very pricey… It’s much cheaper to go with steel but they were going for something really light weight and easy to tow… Mind that means you can use a fairly fuel efficient vehicle vs a gas guzzling truck to tow it…

There’s also a fair bit of interior craftsmanship that you normally wouldn’t see in a basic build and they managed to include all the basics to live in it…

Something similar like a 2017 Airstream Basecamp goes for a similar price at up to around $47,000… So prices in this range for something this size aren’t unheard of… But it’s definitely not for everyone and unless you really enjoy camping and Vardos style wagon/camper then it can be hard to justify the price…

But if you don’t need the detailed interior craftmanship and can deal with a more basic build then there are other builders that will make Vardos style wagon/campers… Trekker Trailers, down in Florida, for example…

Yes you are largely paying here for quality craftsmanship 🙂

Exactly my sentiments why store a toilet under a bed???
That sounds as gross as it seems.
That trailer has a lot of good ideas but the windows are strangely placed . I like the arch 1/2 domed window at end but one single window there would have sufficed instead of the other two that are crammed under it.
Think this one needs to go back to the drawing board.

Most gypsy-vardo builds have no toilet at all, so storing one under the bed keeps you from needing to go outside 🙂 And, if it was stored near the kitchen that would be even more of a problem, haha. In such a short build, you can only fit so much!

Thanks, Scott, for your support! I don’t know, Natalie, if my choice was a toilet under my bed, regardless of how it was “flushed”, and ZERO privacy to “do my business”, I would pick an outhouse….shoot, maybe even do like the bears do. Haha

Haha I completely understand 🙂 This could also be designed for just one person, so it’d be more private in that sense. But ya, it’s not ideal!

The ceiling has beautiful wood work, is it hand carved? The outdoor shower would be nice for the summer or after a hunting trip. I really love the gypsy wagon style.

You’d have to ask them to be sure, but it definitely looks like it and is probably why they’re asking so much for it… But it does come with a 30-year, structural framing warranty as a plus… and they do custom work, so you can make any changes to the design you want…

There are so many cool aspects & features to this wagon. I like it a lot !
I like the window placement. If it did not have those 2 windows under the non opening half arch in the front, ventilation would suffer greatly. Plus the ledge over those 2 windows allows them to remain open in the rain. I like the arched windows throughout, the dark trim contrasting against the lighter wood on the interior, exterior window shutters, tiled counter, mattress keeper?, entry steps, deck area with storage & shower area, exterior lights, & of course that beautiful ceiling.
The dry toilet under the bed does not bother me at all, just a good use of limited space. A few things I would have done different, I would have painted the exposed aluminum trailer frame & fenders a green color to go with the color scheme. The bright aluminum detracts from the overall design IMO. I would have colored the access panel on the front left exterior to match as well.
I think it’s easy to say something is way overpriced, but the custom work clearly visible in this wagon had to have consumed a lot of labor hours & that’s worth something. While these wagons aren’t my cup of tea, something about the arched roof & outward sloping walls just sucks me in.

Yes it’s certainly a handcrafted, quality build! Super tiny, for sure, but they packed everything in so creatively 🙂

As an artist, I get all excited when I see anything posted from Vardos. The craftsmanship can’t be beat. Since I travel and paint on location, this would be perfect for me. Love being able to roll out of bed and use the toilet! Who needs all of those big kitchen appliances? This kitchen is perfect. Showering outside is lovely. Easy enough to put a privacy screen/shower curtain, if you feel the need. Or as they say , they will enclose it for you.

I love-love-love this model, but I’m curious if you can get it without the toilet so you can use the underside of the bed for storage? I don’t go off grid, I camp out at state parks & festivals and such where toilets are available.

Would you be able to make a gypsy style exterior food truck in roughly the same size?
It could be unfinished on the inside so we can customize our Appliance needs with our menu

Does WoolyWagons finance? This is fantasticly done, we’ve been searching a while to find something to our liking for what we had in mind.

Do you custom build? We would like a 14 ft with toilet but only need the framing and such done. Is that something you can accommodate.
