Kootenay Urban 22ft Tiny Home with Bump Out

This is a Kootenay Urban 22ft tiny home on wheels with a bump out.

This is a smaller Kootenay with open layout. A 24 foot option can achieve the same feeling with a larger bathroom. Having a ladder allows for more open space and a larger peninsula. We recommend a lift bed (with storage inside), or elevator bed downstairs, for main level sleeping. Often times people use the lofts for storage and live on the main floor. However, if the loft ladder doesn’t bother you, and you want more head room you can expand our dormers (flat roof over loft and 4:12 along the rest of the tiny).

This unit has butcher block counters, tons of kitchen storage, white walls, dark, grounding oak floors, and a breathtaking cedar ceiling. Accent walls are done with reclaimed wood. Dark blue-gray cabinets would also look beautiful with this combination of finishes. Copper fixtures complement cedar ceilings, and are now an option.

The siding is open cedar with standing seem metal. A deck comes standard with all Kootenay models.

This is an older rendition. We now equip the kitchen with a range hood for ventilation, toe kick heaters for forced air with higher BTUs, and a window and sink come standard in the small bathroom (this was a floor model with extra access for tours).

Could always add a counterweight pulley to the pocket door so it always closes… Just have to get used to pulling it open every time. While a position lock can keep it open when doing cleaning, etc.

Or a timed motor that auto closes the door after a set interval…

But concern is mainly with a flush toilet, because of the spray it can give off if you forget to close the lid before flushing but a composting toilet or dry flush toilet wouldn’t have that issue…

Wow! What a beautiful house. I love the touches of wood inside and out, and the brightness of the white walls otherwise. It is really lovely, and so is that adorable little girl. The porch is great, too, for watching little ones play outside. Well done!

I used to think I would feel deprived or desperate with a 2-burner stove, but I’ve noticed (since my three sons grew up and moved out) that I only ever use two burners anyway! So it really is possible to cook real meals in a tiny kitchen. Who would’ve thought it?
