From the builder:

It’s 135 sq feet main floor and a very spacious loft. Seems small but it’s very open concept giving it a nice open feel. We used smart exterior siding which gives a very nice look but also a very durable long lasting product. We also went the extra step and spray foamed the inside walls for insulation and used knotty pine siding for the interior walls. It has a propane water heater along with a propane two burner stove top. A very nice spacious stainless steel fridge and unique custom cabinets built by our team! It does have a stand up shower and an Edison bulb theme. Price: $28,000.

Nothing wrong with that…! And only $28,000.00 , well maybe a little much, But with what everyone is charging these days for the same amount of square footage, or less, it is still better than being financially raped by the local builder contractor….!

I think it’s quite a deal considering the general price tag of what I see 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team

    What is height of house?

The woodwork is just beautiful throughout the tiny home! Love all the windows, it must get a lot of sunlight! I noticed the refrigerator is on a platform. Why do they do that is it so it doesn’t roll or move when it’s moving from one place to another? I do like the size of the fridge! I was just curious, I’ve noticed that on other tiny houses. Thank you for sharing!?

Hi Carol — great question! I honestly always assumed it was just an aesthetic choice. Looks like a bigger fridge without being one! — Tiny House Talk Team

It’s actually for ease of use. The fridge is up higher and so the items at the bottom are much easier to reach. Plus, general there is storage under the platform.

O.k. Just looked a little closer and this platform is too small to have storage space. Now I don’t know.

The wheel well is under the fridge. They just extended the platform to hold the fridge. If you look across the room you see a box for the other wheel well.

Awesome. That is a realistic DEALER price. Unless you can build your own…you are not going to find people giving these away at cost. Unless you have the know how and ability/connections to find refurbished materials and build it yourself…..you will most likely pay 2 to 3 times the cost of material alone. Plus labor. On the low end. The market is growing and the vultures come out early and kill the growth instead of feeding off the carcass. Industry 101. Maximize profit because a sucker is born every minute and a politician is waiting to get greased to allow you to build in the first place. The local govts will find ways to make you pay to build smaller to balance out the property tax losses. Because they don’t want you independent of their ever expanding role in your life and freedom.

Love the house…sorry for the rant.
