Kickstarter for Tiny Home Helper, Inc. and Basecamp01

This is a Kickstarter for Tiny Home Helper, Inc. and Basecamp01, a mobile design and construction “studio” run by builder Rebekah who wants to help DIY tiny housers create the homes of their dreams.

Building your own home can be hard, even if it’s Tiny. You can do it all by yourself, or you can hire someone to do it for you. But what if you’re in the middle of that range and can’t afford help? That’s where Tiny Home Helper, Inc. comes in. Basecamp01 is the launch pad for a greater company vision.

Curious about her vision? Be sure to read all the details on her Kickstarter page, and consider donating! She is trying to outfit her 1988 boxtruck with space for her to live, work and help you build!

From Rebekah:

A 1988 International box truck is being converted into a mobile design and construction powerhouse, filled to the brim with tools and rigged to work off-grid job sites to help DIY Tiny home builders and homeless villages around the country at little or no cost to them.

Designer, minimalist, and DIY enthusiast, Rebekah Owens announces the launch of her benefit corporation, Tiny Home Helper, Inc., and the Kickstarter project that will turn a 1988 International box truck into the company’s mobile headquarters, with the help of some solid DIY can-do. In the woods outside Savannah, GA, the truck, named Basecamp01, will be transformed into a movable toolbox for resourceful DIYers already committed to life in a tiny home, and a knowledge base for communities that are looking for creative ways to combat homelessness…

THH became a legal entity in August 2016 as a benefit corporation. It was the culmination of two years of learning, networking, volunteering and defining company concepts and policies. Rebekah is committed to creating and using business as a force for good. Rebekah hopes that, by example, she will show people how living with intention provides more: More opportunities to have the life and work you want, and something meaningful that fills your soul, instead of emptying your wallet.

I had a 6 x 10 trailer with all the tools that you would need to fix the trailer . You had to bring plans and wood and trailer. Had a guy running it who know how to do all the tools. The guy stop calling me as part of check in. The COPS call me about the car & trailer . It was found in a bad part of town. ” I Love On Star” , Get a GPS chip for your THOW to keep it safe. Bad people took anything to get money for, cut the cords on all of things not worth any money. I had a few plans for thow gone. But I know that I can not think of the past just let it go. God will bless me some other way.

Well she has picked a truck that will get her just about any where she needs to go…! With some up grading of the cab, and a good design for her housing, and work needs, she should do just great… I would love to see the truck after she has done her modifications to it…
I wish her best of luck and many a mile with a great big smile…

Well I checked the website on truck mount tiny home’s I still don’t see a nice tiny home. The only thing even close is kick starter for tiny home’s. That’s not what I want it’s just a box truck, unfinished, what I want is a big truck with a flat bed from 8′ X 20′ to 30′ and build a tiny house on that with the back of the cab on the truck cut out so you can walk from the driver seat through the tiny house. Now that’s a home built RV.
