This is a review of the Jackery 300 Solar Generator. The Solar Generator is essentially the Explorer 300 Portable Power Station plus a 100W SolarSaga Solar Panel which gives you the ability to generate emissions-free energy using the sun.

The power bank unit weighs just 7.1 lbs so it’s small, lightweight, portable, and it has a 293Wh capacity. It can recharge your phone 30 times, your laptop 4 times, and your drone around 5 times. For its size and weight, it’s pretty impressive and incredibly handy.

The Review

Being that I have also reviewed their heavy-duty units, my immediate impression was how lightweight it is. The only drawback to the bigger, more powerful units is their weight, so getting to have the 300 with a 7.1 lb weight was exactly what I wanted. Granted, this unit obviously has lower power capacity, but it still gets the job done for lots of things I wanted it for: to keep my laptop, phone, camera, and drone charged while I’m on the go. But it goes beyond that. I’ve been using it when I’m outside and I can see myself taking it on trips. I even used it to power a shop vacuum. It has great power in a compact size.
