The little cabin has great views, too! Even from inside.

There’s some outdoor space you can enjoy when you’re here too.

As you can see above, the kitchen is super simple. In the photo (above) you can also see the little staircase that leads you to the loft.

Isn’t the custom shaped door awesome? It adds so much character to the cabin.

A standard flush toilet is installed in the bathroom inside.

Here’s a look inside the upstairs sleeping loft. It looks cozy but it might not be for everyone! I’d definitely love to try staying here someday, how about you? Seems like such a fun place.

    what a hoot!
this ole boy has it rollin. incredible little view, i was able to spot the sea from one of the photos. the kind of place that takes you back to being a kid again. i love the use of organic items for tables shelves etc. and the swagged curtains in the bunk area to take the edge off the exposed wood. only thing traditional about this place is the use of the dark green on the exterior, rather irish. well… bit of a row for us in the colonies to partake of. but hey… what a delight to to preview. thx for the great peek.

The loft looks like the ceilings are padded, which would be a good idea, because it looks like it would be easy to bang your head sitting up in the middle of the night. Then there’s the tricky steps, to go down in the night for a pee. I would imagine that door would get to be a real PITA after about the third trip thru it. I like the roof windows, but would want one or two more on a side. All in all, this building style is not my cuppa. With a regular door would make a nice guest guest cottage, or work space, but day to day living, not for me.

Completely agreed. It looks cute and charming and all, but is a lot less than functional.

Though I did have fun imagining -Captain- Jack Sparrow’s reaction to it. 😀

“I would imagine that door would get to be a real PITA”

unless of course you are a hobbit.

Nah, Hobbits generally go for round doors, I don’t think they would touch that one. Actually, I could probably accept a round door, but my first preference would be a Smurf door, theirs are rectangular, with a sturdy casing.

Reminds me of a house I used to drive past all the time, back when I lived on Bainbridge Island.
It’s even stuck out in the middle of field like that one was (is?)

This is a cute whimsical house! Everyone should be so lucky, to live in a house or a room, or with stuff, that makes you smile everyday!! There are many such, that we get to see here, that are so charming and daring! Too many people live in a bland, boring beige, world, as they fear the fun side! Life is short, just a bit of a favorite color helps! Like life having lemons, make lemonade!

Right out of a storybook! Darling… Fun for a brief stay…Oh, I would love to see what the designer of this house would come up with for a permanent home!? I could only imagine!

Small structures lend themselves to broader ideas of design because they don’t have the heavy load of a full size house.

Not only does the design point to fun times, it reminds me – location, location, location.

On can not remain indifferent before such clean fantasy fairytale. Human creativity (in some people) as no limits. Totally Wonderful !!

Oh! It’s so cute! Can I take it home?

  • October 29, 2017, 11:31 am

…And this is definitely another ” cherry on the cake”, that completes the taste of a genuine, original, fantastic, absolutely beautiful Art, because it is out of the ordinary but strongly evocative (fairy tale) but also difficult and complex in development. Excellent!

Best thing for me, the cooking over the fire shown in the second photo. As someone who spent years voluntarily cooking in this way (yes we had a stove indoor but food tastes so much better cooked outdoors over an open fire, not a BBQ) this would be the selling point of a house for me. I live in Ireland of Emerald Isle fame (cause it is always raining) so I know all about standing over the fire with an umbrella, held over the fire to keep it alight and stop the stew becoming soup but my daughter and I both voluntarily cooked this way for over a decade. We only stopped after we moved to a clean air site with no wood burning allowed, and I would willingly go back to it again. We cooked this way for breakfast and evening meals, even though my daughter had school, I had to attend college and my husband worked (and yes that included lighting the fire each time). It wasn’t much more time consuming than using an electric stove plus the food tasted much better, porridge or toast cooked over flames much tastier. Not sure about the ladder though, although the sleeping loft reminded me of sleeping in the old fashioned canvas pup tents where the sides always sagged over the beds beneath. Cosy, but the door would drive me nuts.
