Itty Bitty Maine Beach Cottage

Up in Scarborough, Maine you’ll find a quaint row of beach cottages that have been there long before “tiny houses” became popular. This particular one is for rent on Airbnb.

The one-room cottage has a sectional sofa that transforms into the bed, a little kitchenette for coffee or basic meals, and a loft bedroom for kids. Yes, there’s a toilet inside, too!

You are just steps from the beach and close to nearby restaurants as well. Enjoy the tour below.

Very nice. Reminds me of the old motor lodges or individual cottage motels.

Yeah, I can see that being an inside joke at some sushi restaurants that fresh means it’s alive when served…

They don’t provide that information but it looks to be 10×12… For scale, the Ikea Sofa Bed is about 7.5′ long…

This reminds me of a cottage a friend’s family had on the beach in Oceanside, California. If you’re at the beach, you don’t need much indoor space. This looks like a great place to make great family memories.

I LOVE this place! This is the perfect cocoon. What more does a person need? I love the nautical touches and vintage vibe.
