The Indian Blanket tiny house has a New York country loft style and was built by students at Northside ISD (Independent School District) in San Antonio, Texas. This is a Construction Careers Academy.

The micro home has a double loft design ideally one so you can read and the other to be used as a bedroom as shown in the photo tour below. In addition, you’ll also find a fully featured micro kitchen inside with a modern design and beautiful backsplash.

There is plenty of open shelving throughout and wood flooring inside. The kitchen countertops are made out of black granite and the open ceiling gives it a spacious feeling inside.

The kitchen is great, and I like the floorplan. I see the stairs to the loft look sturdy and have handles to grab on to. Great idea, although I still wouldn’t want to sleep in a loft and have to use the ladder on a regular basis – too old for that!

Love this tiny house!! Especially the spiral staircase to the loft. Wish it wasn’t built for weatherso far south/warm or I would probably want to buy it. (But know in MN I would need something with more heat/insulation)

Outstanding creativity. Great details like: chalk board, lots of hooks on the post, office space & paper clip! normally people ignore the ugly under belly, you put hedge-type greenery!, use of the tin siding can protect from road splatter/rain, on the porch. It can all be wiped off, smart. Then the faux brick painting was a great touch. The secret room? Awesome! Loft carpeting is nice softness added. Now, take a look at the Ship Container on this site today. See the simplicity? Next time lay out all decor accessories, then use only 1/4. Keep it simple so buyers can see ‘the bones’ the true test of design. Everything you guys did came from your hearts!! Can hardly wait for what’s next!!

This is very cleverly designed. I sure like the stair set over the laptop nook with the clothing hooks. It looks great, is unobtrusive and is better for people who might be nervous using a ladder.

My favourite design yet. Cozy, but still livable! I could see this as a great retreat to escape to. What are the dimensions? I don’t think I saw them in the floor plan. Wish you could deliver it to Canada!

This is a really neat house! I wish I had thought of some of the design technigues they used when I was building. It is really a winner and I hope it finds a permanent happy homesteader soon.

Interesting. Very unconventional. I like big equipped kitchens in tiny houses… encourages you to cook nice meals instead of eating out all of the time.

I realize the post is pretty old, but I was wondering if you sold the house?

I am trying to find one to rent in the San Marcos area, the rent places I find are so high. Do not know if you can help with this or not.
    Thanks
    Joy
