You Can Tow this Collapsible Camper w/ Any Vehicle

Are you looking for weekend adventures but not in the mood to set up tents but also don’t have the space to store an RV? That’s where the father-and-son duo that came up with the idea for the Hitch Hotel found themselves a few years ago. And they decided to do something about it.

The Hitch Hotel was once a Kickstarter, but is now ready for preorder, with delivery between February 1 and March 15, 2023. The camper collapses to under 4 feet long — making it easy to store — and expands to over 7 ft to provide ample room for sleeping. What do you think?

While interesting, there is little to justify it’s folding.
And with a couple changes like more rounded forward edges, can go from an aero brick to lowering the drag of the towing car enough to make up for it’s drag, thus no loss of range, MPG.
I’d make it 1 piece aero, large enough for a sheet of plywood and convertible from camping to cargo, maybe flat bed, would lower cost to build and greatly increase market pushing it’s low drag, increased EV range or ICE MPG.
Most everyone should have a trailer instead of a larger vehicle or pickup. I have a cheap trailer I put various bodies on as needed. I use it to make my 700lb EV trike pickup into a 1/2 ton pickup carrying up to 20′ long.

Pretty doggone ingenious! Looks easy and quick, and the price is not bad either. Cool idea!
