His Bright Green Truck Home w/ Shower and Murphy Bed!

This post contains affiliate links.

Vaughn, like so many others, was ready to stop wasting money on LA rent month after month. He took the plunge and bought a box truck which he has made into a fantastic home — and he dreams of someday building his own shipping container house.

Inside his big green machine you’ll find a spacious shower with a dry flush toilet, and what he considers the quickest bed set-up in a vehicle ever — his Murphy bed which flips down in under 3 seconds.

Vaughn says he wants to be an inspiration to other men of color that they, too, can enjoy the travel/van/truck lifestyle. Enjoy his video tour below!

Wow, super nice. The only thing I would have to add to this perfect setup is the kitchen window. I think if the window was expanded, bigger, it would be a plus. It seems there is room there to make it slightly bigger. I love the build.

Yes I would like a bigger window, too!

Great conversion. I like your style as well as the use of the space. I was wondering where you got that great table that swivels 100% around.
    Thanks.

I would love to have one identical. Where do you sell them and how much. Love everything about it.

Very well done conversion, I’m wondering about insulation, heat/ac and venting moisture. If I only had one window I’m afraid it would have to be bigger, perhaps with one way glass for privacy. Does rear of truck open for access/emergency exit? What are dimension’s of the truck and is a special drivers lic required for it? This is the first box truck conversion I’ve seen that looks like someone could live comfortably in.

I do think the back opens up, and I don’t believe you’d need a special license at this size. The rest of your questions, I’m unsure. But he is on Instagram so you could check it out and maybe message him!

This is the most perfect vehicle that I have seen for converting into a moving home. Love this!
