Her Murphy Bed Van w/ Earring Display & Safety Wall

Kati had dreamt about vanlife for nearly a decade, but about 3 years ago she made it her goal to transition into a van — and then she made it happen!

The result is a really cool ProMaster with a folding safety wall that blocks off the cab when needed, but opens up otherwise. She kept the exterior pretty stealth, but did add a fan and window. Oh! And there’s a hidden toilet in there. Pretty cool.

I really like this girl! She is genuine and earthy and knows what she wants. She doesn’t have one of those annoying whiny voices, she is so real and I totally appreciate and like her build. Seems like she had great ideas that she put into her build. Good luck and enjoy your life!

I don’t know if this woman will read my ‘forward of an idea’. I just wanted to say that I have seen on two diff van/bus life videos that they, in one case, left a white hard hat on the dash, and in the other case, left a yellow and orange net safety vest on the dash. This is a good practice for a few different reasons, all of which I’m sure you can figure out.
    Very cute van, Janie.

I like that she didn’t let her lack of professional woodworking skills stop her. That sounds rude—I don’t mean it to. The cabinets are simple, and why not? They do the job, and she made her dream a reality. Well done.
