Her Low-Tech High-Top Van Conversion

Courtney had left her job in the fashion world looking for something different — so she headed to Southeast Asia where she started backpacking. But then 2020 happened, forcing her to move back home.

It was there she had to decide what to do, and vanlife seemed like a great choice. Soon she came across her 1999 Ford E150 and began her build-out. Unlike many of the vans we see, Courtney kept it simple! She didn’t fuss over electrical or solar or bathrooms or fancy paneling. That and she used 90% repurposed materials to keep the entire build sustainable.

    Whoa! I have never seen one of those USB pumps before (yes, I live a sheltered life on the farm now)! I love it! What a great idea, and I have already ordered one from Amazon to use in a 5 gallon bottle of water in my camper. I really like the simplicity and ease of living that this van offers. You did a wonderful job and helped the planet at the same time : ) Be safe traveling. Enjoy!

    I like the simplicity of this. I’ve slept on those kinds of mattresses before ;). Nice build, brave young woman.

    I enjoyed the video. I’m tired of hearing the word “pandemic.” There was no pandemic. It is government tyranny.
