WOW! that’s the coolest little joint I’ve seen in a while. Must say I half expected to see a foto of a saloon girl standing on that balcony but that just means it’s done right! 🙂

I am not sure how I feel about this one! Had to look it over several times to get some idea of the design or color theme and still can’t come up with a positive comment. Sorry!

I agree with you Rosee. I do not find anything about this tiny that is appealing to me. Although, I do like the fact that it is all reclaimed materials. I just think that it is not my style, but I know there are people that would live in it. I just cannot see anything in it. I too am trying to find something positive…….but nothing. I too am sorry. I guess I like a little more modern than this. Also, I like on wheels so I can take off when the notion hits.

I agree with Rosee and Debra. I feel the reclaimed wood looks to old and weathered – will it last? Instead of trying to mesh the pieces, it looks like a mish mash of a reclaimed piece found here and one there. However, reclaimed material is hard to find, and when you do – take it! He went to great lengths to make this house his home and that’s most important.

I think a lot of people appreciate the ‘rustic’ appearance of this tiny house but, like the others above, it doesn’t appeal to me either. However, I LOVE the house and with a little tidying up and painting and decorating I do believe it could be a favourite for many. It wouldn’t take much and really does already have a lot of architectural charm… it’s just a mess right now.

I have to agree with the other comments here. It’s just one step too “abandoned” for my taste. I think that kitchen puts a lot of people off. A decent coat of paint in places and some throw rugs though and it would turn from abandoned to eclectic though.

WOW, these places need to be featured on ANY show that calls itself “tiny” anything… freakin’ masterpiece they are!

I half expected to see a saloon girl on that balcony as I scrolled down!

Omg! I am in love! Who built this? Can I persuade the crew to drop down to Florida? Please?
The stairs arrangement was brilliant – – tucked away taking up minimal space yet they look to be fully functional. AND they include storage. A good spot for a pantry?
Also love the inclusion of reclaimed materials.
    And quaint.
    Checks all my boxes.

I loved it too! I think it was just a DIY project though so I don’t know if they’d build you one too! — Tiny House Talk Team

I like the simple randomness, of the materials, the layout of the space, has a small cottage that has it all, there is also a terrace on the
first floor and a porch on the ground floor. It is rustic but clean,
    simple but whit character.

Very unique. no real design scheme… rustic perhaps… utilitarian? it seems roomy even if its a tiny home. 🙂 beauty is in the eye of the beholder???

I love a rustic look. It does have the look of an old saloon but that’s part of the charm.

Just love it! Screams TEXAS. Agree with Jim. Would have liked to see more detail of kitchen and bathroom area. Great sized bedroom
Well done! Can just see myself on the rocker, watching the garden grow.

I love that you recycled and reused those blue kitchen cabinets and surfaces. The bad is that if you didn’t put some coating over that deteriorating old paint, you are likely making toxic lead dust every time you open them. And letting it fly where you prepare food. Lead dust is toxic and can cause irreversible, neurological damage, especially to kids under 5. Kids are not chewing on woodwork; their putting their hands with floor dust in their mouths. Lead poisoning has serious, irreversible side effects for adults, too.

I built better club houses when I was a kid… Why the hell would I want to spend my good hard earned on a dump like this, I would probably find a rattle snake making a nest in my boot in the morning… I’m sorry I like rustic not relic… !

Outside is adorable. The interior distressed wood look put me off. Love the staircase tucked out of the way, yet adding storeage. Too bad its not mobile…

  • November 15, 2016, 10:42 am

Love the asymmetrical “Western” movie set exterior. But just random use of recycled wood in the interior is a common mistake many tiny house designers make. There are other ways to make that statement without a confusion of color. Also a huge waste of potential storage space here and there; also a common mistake. Still hold that a full-sized kitchen is not necessary. Take a look at UK kitchens. Love that it’s not on wheels.

While I might not want this exact tiny house, I see it is what some people visualize for themselves in some degree. The styles of tiny homes will continue to evolve to meet the tastes and the pocket book of those who want to go tiny.

Kitchen? I could not tell there was a kitchen…:( and what was that small space with the purple curtain? Cute on outside, but maybe some paint like others suggested….? And inside-‘just too thrown together..not planned well, Stressful. But I always admire anyone who builds themselves!

Why comment if you can’t find anything positive? How about the creativity, uniqueness, spacious bedroom? I like the little rustic shelves and bent wood railings. And I love the way this site shows us such a variety of manifested dreams. And some of us like each one. Can’t wait to see what surprises you send tomorrow. Thank you Tiny House Team!

I like this little place, but I had a 550 square foot condo and I could do a lot of things with it but I couldn’t make it bigger. I couldn’t part with it though and I do rent it out for $900 a month
