Why stay in a typical cabin when you could have a unique stay in the Pachinko Cabin? This bespoke off-grid wonder sits on 20 acres of land and has no running water or electricity, but provides an experience unlike any other.
There’s a hand-crank Victrola, wood-burning stove for heating and cooking, and 5-10 gallons of water for drinking and washing. An outhouse is nearby, and during the warmer months there’s a shower house too. Climb the Lapeyre stairs into the bedroom, which features standing-height ceilings and a full-sized bed.

Cool, interesting cabin. Not a fan of outdoor toilets at night. Looks very spacious on the inside.
This is very cool. Outhouse to far.
Nope! Can’t imagine finding boots and a jacket at 3:00 am to traipse out to the outhouse!
Then don’t use the outhouse at night! Use a sawdust bucket on the porch and empty it in the morning. I’ve lived in a cabin and did that because you really DON’T want that outhouse closer to the house. Smell, flies. Sheesh. No good.
Sawdust bucket is disgusting! Who wants to smell that!! Those stairs are also weird, and just waiting for someone to miss a step and have a serious accident. I’ll stay in my warm, modern house with electricity, indoor plumbing, etc. and be happy.
Well, composting toilets generally don’t smell as long as you’re using them correctly…
While flush toilets are not without their issues too, like what happens every time you flush with the seat cover open. Among other things most people don’t seem aware of…
