This is very nice. Don’t care about food smells up stairs. Am a Gourmet cook and if you don’t smell the food than will it taste good? Real nice Dome home.

That place has to be broiling hot. One a/c unit for the entire place? I live in FL..it’s miserable here with CENTRAL air half the time. And the loft has windows? Probably at least 115 degrees up there.
I can’t even imagine the back bedrooms.
No wonder no one lives in it.
It would take a major overhaul to make that habitable unless one really doesn’t mind heat, I’m guessing.
I also suspect you could put A/C window units in the bedrooms, or install a mini-split system as well. I don’t take the heat well but some love it!
@april hunter – Houses don’t all perform the same… There are houses you can get away with a small AC unit in even very intense heat areas. So a lot depends on the construction…
There aren’t any details on how this was constructed but it does say built in 1977 and it’s a beach house, which most people use for weekend getaways or seasonal use.
So I wouldn’t assume too much from just the little information they provide in the listing and photos…

Well, it def. needs updating but my question is, how do you get into the loft?

There’s a ladder from the main landing when you walk in.
Love it. Doesn’t need any changes or updates, its so 70s. I remember building these style houses back then was all the rage. There is still one dome house, in Richmond, B.C. remember the press it got when it was built. They’re very cool.

I could make this a funky beach house with just a few additions, mainly a dishwasher. It looks like it has a very nice sized living area & the kitchen & bathroom would be good with some updating. I would put a exhaust vent over the stove. Maybe a bigger island for the kitchen. All in all this tiny home would be awesome to live in & its at the beach. Hopefully, the owner of this unique tiny home will make it a cute, funky beach house. It’s got good bones to work with. You can’t go wrong with a place to call your own at a beach. I love it.
