Overall, I lke this more than most designs I’ve seen, especially the bathroom, complete with tub, just don’t see tubs in these. Still hate lofts for sleeping tho, I’d opt for a Murphy bed version, or one that lowers from the ceiling – lower it while traveling too. But whoever did the outside and interior color schemes should be shot.

(long time lurker, 1st time commenter) I like it! the wood used appears to be local- I’d bet beetle kill pine. Green and local to do so but not everyone likes the look. The collapsible ladder is ugly but awesomely functional! it looks like the loft has a welded steel frame? I’ve been curious about that and this is the first I’ve seen a tiny house with it. Has anyone figured out how much heavier it is to make certain parts out of welded steel vs the traditional wood frame (and possibly vs the SIP panels?) Thanks!

I love the bathroom plumbing. Simple and functional and steampunky. Nice. You could have the same effect . . . simple petcock to divert to shower . . . with different plumbing bits for a different look. Nice.

One of our collection of buildings is a 12×24 SIP building. The panels are MUCH lighter than an equivalent stick built wall so the metal framing would be the tradeoff for the weight. I would like a tubular steel metal frame with corner gussets embedded in the SIP panel joins to strengthen the structure for travel. That may be overkill but it would make a REALLY sturdy structure to drag down the road.

Hi Nori! Do you have the plans for your 12 x 24 SIP building with the tubular steel metal frame and corner gussets? This is EXACTLY what’s in my design! I thought I invented it, lol! Love to see yours! Can you send to Tinyhousetalk and ask them to post your photos/ drawings of it????
        Pretty please???

My guess is that this cost half that $37k price tag to build. Could it look any cheaper??? Outrageous!

Bare-bones, but functional enough. The collapsible ladder would be a great idea, if it’s sturdy enough.

I suppose it IS functional, but visually it’s very haphazard, not cohesive.
It would need some paint to pull it together, so you don’t wind up being annoyed by the clashing patterns after living in it for a week or two.
