Very nice, but where’s the clothes storage?

There’s a little storage in each of the three sleeping areas… The door in front of the bed in the goose-neck area looks to be an actual closet and has shelving to either side of it… Others have various alternative storage areas…

May be pushing it if 7 people actually live there but the bed in the main bedroom is probably a storage bed to hold the seasonal cloths…

I love how they fit three children in the same room without completely sacrificing floor space for playing.

Picture of the lift bedroom area would have been nice, and pity the kid who only has a bed at night. Like the gooseneck bedroom but the pink frilly bedding is a bit much even for me, very 1950s. Guess one pull out bit is the seating area in the lounge but not sure what the other pull out incorporated, nor exactly where the kids room is. It appeared to be at the end but so did the kitchen and bathroom and there is only one end.

The loft bedroom is the one with the pink bedding. It appears that the bathroom is actually in the gooseneck, at the top of the stairs. The bedroom with the white bedding is behind it. The end pullout is behind the kitchen and is where the kid’s room is at.

I agree that it is really hard to get the gist of the layout of this tiny home. I had to look at the pictures a couple times to figure it out.

This looks like a beautiful house. I wish the pictures had been edited.

is it possible to build a unit that could be placed on a basement with access to the basement from inside – this would be a permanent location, not moveable ?

Technically pretty sure that would be doable. Question is would ordinances allow it? Knowing how crazy some local authorities can be I’d say it could be very dicey.

I am interested in purchasing this or something similar and was wondering if they could build it more to my specific needs, since it would be two adults, I would prefer to have a master closet instead of the bedroom feature for children or a spare. Possibly use the additional space for a larger living room or etc.

I think this is beautiful with just the right mix of dark and light. Plus so much space! That staircase railing is the best I’ve ever seen! I always feel nervous when I see the stairs without railings. In other tiny houses, I always imagine myself or my dogs flying off the stairs and getting severely injured. The fact that they closed off the back of the treads so nothing and no one falls onto the counters is just a treat in my mind. I could have seen my dogs stretching to eat anything on the counter otherwise. 😆😆😆

I don’t understand why this “tiny home” is so expensive. Nearly $75k for a trailer? Also, I don’t understand why people think they need to put full-size refrigerators in tiny homes. It’s a waste of space. This is not a tiny home, it is an RV that is squared.

It’s actually both, it’s a Tiny house with RV features. This particular builder caters to those who want the advantages of both.

The thing to understand is an RV is strictly only built for recreational usage. So it’s only meant to be used for a short period of time and it’s not meant to last a long time before it needs to be repaired or replaced. While Tiny Houses are meant to be houses, accommodating full time living, with the durability, comfort, and longevity expected of a house.

To give an idea of just how much of a different that involves, in just the amount of labor, even something well crafted and engineered like an Airstream on average takes a little over 200 work hours to build, which is much more than the typical RV, but that compares to a Tiny House that takes on average over 800 to over 1000 work hours to build, especially when it’s custom, which most Tiny Houses are…

There’s much more material and attention to details that goes into the build of a Tiny House than a RV. Consequently, Tiny Houses can be a lot heavier than a RV and elements like the trailer it’s built on has to be a lot stronger than the standard trailer an RV would be built on.

But most of the cost is because it’s custom built, which actually would be worse for an RV as they typically charge a lot more for custom building than Tiny house builders do. On the high end, custom built luxury RV’s can go as high as over $3 million! While even something just well built, like an Airstream can cost this much or even more.

Anything approaching the build quality of a Tiny House in the RV industry typically starts hitting the $100K and higher price range.

Mind, at 38′ this is also hardly that tiny as lower cost Tiny Houses are as little as a third of the size. Most slide outs are usually on 2′ extensions but the rear one on this is 6′, which requires an extremely strong frame to handle that cantilevered weight, and the slide out itself adds a lot of weight as well, among other details that help explain the pricing.

There are always trade offs, Tiny Houses can start as low as a few thousand. Especially, if DIY built with reclaimed materials but like anything else the details can effect the cost and range up to a lot higher.

In a market of literally hundreds to nearly thousands of builders and different ways and options to create a home structure. The market is full of options from low cost budget to luxury high end and everything in between. So just be aware of the details, what trade offs they involve, and never be afraid of shopping around or just finding out what changes to the build details can change the price in the direction you prefer it…
