I really like this. Is very homey looking, relaxing. Love how the kitchen is. The shelves. The sitting area looks inviting. Looks like a bedroom on first floor? Either way. I love this.
Absolutely like the design/layout and wish you many amazingly memorus times with family and friends.
What a beautiful, inviting warm layout. Very clever to make the eating area part of the kitchen; it keeps the open feel so this space doesn’t feel cramped despite all that is in it. It is nice to be able to set and deliver food to the table with just a 180 degree turn. A very wise usage of space with a bedroom loft and downstairs bedroom. There are private spaces, but a place where everyone can congregate out in the open also for good together time. I really like the clever magnetic spice jars on the range hood. The colouring with the natural wood is after my own heart, not at all cold but welcoming, and the whole put together allows the eye to rest.
I love this house. . .very warm and inviting. Homesteading is very hard to do, especially today when so much depends on internet, and there is not a lot of internet in remote areas. The isolation is also hard to deal with unless you have lots of family around who can help out now and then. I was fortunate that we did have a large family, so there was always someone dropping by to lend a hand, or just to bring some canned goods and visit. We always all got together on Sundays, too, rain or shine, and visited. I applaud this family for trying it, and understand their desire to be away from cities and in the beauty of the woods and fields. Wouldn’t it be nice if they could keep the tiny house and find a country site that was not so isolated that they could get back and forth to a city to work and such, but still be able to retreat to the countryside every night? I wish them well. . .
One more thought. . .perhaps, if they wanted to stay in their home, but not homestead anymore, they could lease their land to one or more individuals looking for a place to board horses, or plant a small crop, or put their own tiny house. Just a thought. . .I know, it’s none of my business :/
