Wow, that’s beautiful and despite many people thinking otherwise, tiny homes and small children are a perfect combination – and the best way to arrest the accumulation of over-priced, seldom-used plastic clutter that is synonymous with kids these days. When we moved into our apartment we gave the largest bedroom to our ten year old, who still sleeps on a crib mattress beside my bed and drags her worldly goods from ‘her bedroom’ into the lounge anyway. We are paying for an expensive closet and wanting to get away from that is a primary driving force for my desire for tinydom. When she was a baby/toddler, we lived in a log cabin with a small loft for sleeping – the little wretch spent most of bedtime pitching her toys over the railing and then crying for their return because she couldn’t sleep without them. I wish I’d thought of cargo netting, but that was the only thing that presented any difficulty at all for living tiny with a kiddo – now I’d just need a good internet connection lol!
