Bless you for sharing your home with us! You are choosing to live life the way you want. Being a voracious reader myself, I like seeing all those books in the house. What I would like to know is how you secured such a lovely site for your home. No zoning issues?

Hi Gigi! Thank you! We found a unique little piece of property and feel like we found treasure! It’s very small, not buildable, and allows our road-worthy dwelling. We found it through lots of prayer, research, and trusting. ♡

Isn’t this the house that “Uncle Pat” built? It still looks great and I see that they’ve made improvements to the upstairs bridge between the parents loft and the kids’ loft. Look great and you can tell this is a “working THOW” because everything is in use. This only goes to show, if you really need a place to live, dreams can come true. (I’ve been meaning to ask, can we borrow Uncle Pat; he does such nice work?)

What kind of amazing adult would you get when a childhood was spent in a house like this? Makes me smile just to think about it.

Thank you Mike! Best comment ever! Thank you for your support and kindness! 🙂

Darling. Kids in Windows. List on window. Books are windows. Kids will grow, thankfully, not only in size, but stature, imagination, wisdom and appreciation.

You make my heart happy! Thank you Jake! We hope so! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I would love a home just like this one but built on the Merced River in California . I’m so inspired by the creatively that it took to make this a home filled with wonderful memories.

Those children are already much bigger than these pictures. The house was featured several years ago on THNation. I’d love to know if they are still in this house or opted for something small, not tiny. Our house is 1,000 sq feet and when the two boys were still here, that was 250 sq feet per person, still called tiny but with them gone, it’s now called a small house.

I really like the exterior of this home and how the loft is designed. I also appreciate seeing a home that looks lived in! Though its nice seeing all the homes that are posted, they look great but too tidy. Thanks for sharing.

I am so gald you found a space for all those books. It is one of 2 things holding me back. As to all those commenting about children turning into teenagers? I think these will turn into pretty special teenagers. Besides there is no room for moodiness in such a small space, you can only go to your ‘room’ and then realise what you are missing out on but that tiny distance between upstairs and downstairs might be all the distance a growing teenagers needs in the end. Time out but not disconnected.

Good luck. I think this is one of the best tiny Homes I have seen, more so because of the people who dreamed it and now live it and generously share it.
