This a story of a family of 9 living in their bus conversion. So if you thought that only small families, couples, or even just singles could live tiny, think again.
Outside, you’ll notice this school bus has been painted red and white and bears the name “Good News.” This family of nine transformed the school bus into a cozy home for two parents and their seven young children.
When you go inside, you’ll find what looks a lot like an RV. They have a dinette where the kids can eat and play board games, a beautiful kitchen complete with an oven for mom to bake homemade bread (yes, she’s that amazing), and built in bunks for the kiddos to sleep in. The master bedroom is in the back of the bus and they have one bathroom for all the family’s needs. Open up the back hatch and you’ll find a washer/dryer, because as you can imagine, nine people come with a lot of laundry!

Yea….I don’t foresee this lasting very long lol. One of the better kitchens though, it’s rare to see a stove/oven combo in a bus con.
I think this is amazing. They kept saying when they are home, is this not their permanent home? I do believe what they did is great, and teaching their children to do chores is very important. Children today have it too easy sometimes, not all of them, but they are not responsible for doing anything . I love what they are doing and teaching their children well. Thank you for the video. The children are adorable.

One of the issues I have with the bus conversions like in this article is the horrendous cost of travelling in it when you “stop” at a place for awhile. Unless of course they tow a small car behind it and use that once they settle for awhile in an area.
What an awesome group!! I’m curious how the bus carries all the weight and especially wonder about all the weight behind the axle with the holding tanks and washing machine and storage. Thanks for sharing your story, I’m so inspired by your life!!
You both should be proud of all that you have accomplished together as a wonderful family. I will enjoy reading your blog about converting the bus I am sure. I was a heavy vehicle mechanic for 27 years and have finally set up my wood working shop and was very inspired by your bus conversion. I was thinking of a smaller bus about half that size for my wife and I to tour America in. I think that she would love what you all have accomplished when she sees the video her self. P. S. Do you have solar panels on the roof of the bus , like maybe stick on ones which don’t add much weight or thickness ?
What did you do for insurance. I am converting a bus for full time. Any help would be appreciated!

@ Daryl Hawkins… well, with 9 people you’d run out of food pretty darn quick too. Did it not occur to you that they probably do a weekly shop of non perishables and buy the perishables on a daily or semi-daily basis? Sheesh!
