When Darcy’s sister was diagnosed with Leukemia, she decided to forego chemo and travel the country by bus instead. Darcy didn’t want to miss out on that time with her sister so she and her husband quit their jobs, bought and renovated an RV and have been traveling full-time with their children McKenzie and Maxwell following Darcy’s sister around the country.
The RV itself only cost $5,000 and the family gutted it and renovated it to make it home, reusing and re-purposing anything and everything they could to save money. While their story started in the midst of tragedy, it’s been a great experience for the family and has actually made the pandemic easier to deal with because they were already distanced in many ways and homeschooling.

Great video ! Hope and wishes for your sister , my sister had breast cancer 2 yrs ago , had left breast removed and lymp nodes has been in remission for a yr now , will keep fingers crossed . she went thru rebuilding of breast from her own body but had hardtime with infections from it . but is doing really good now . I am fascinated with all the stories of a tiny house. We have talked about doing that ourselves. We are of retirement age and only have SS. Would love to get out from underneath a mortgage. I guess I have the same problem as many, land to build it one!! We live in the midlands of SC. Does anybody know where tiny homes or RVs are allowed in these parts? I know there are some areas in the upstate but unfortunately can’t go that far right now anyway. Thanks for info that anybody might have.
