Family of 3’s Debt-Free Tiny Home with Amazing Split Loft Bedroom

This post contains affiliate links.

Deb and Pete wanted to get rid of their mortgage and move closer to Pete’s parents while his mother was fighting cancer. After losing her battle, Deb and Pete have been able to be right next door to Pete’s dad and support him through the difficult aftermath — all while living debt-free now that they’ve sold their traditional home.

The tiny house they have now is gorgeous, and the coolest feature has to be the large deck that pretty much doubles their living space in nice weather. Inside the French doors you’ll find their living space with a big L-shaped couch, and then storage stairs that take you into the loft bedrooms. Their daughter has her own bedroom in the very back, with an itty-bitty door to give her a quiet, private spot.

And just wait until you see the kitchen! It’s bigger than many kitchens in “normal” homes. You can enjoy the full tour with Bryce Langston below.

What a lovely home! It seems so spacious, and all the bedrooms have a lot of room to move around in them. Wonderful kitchen. I love the exterior design and the covered deck. Great job!

I really like this unit. But, I would love to know the size of it in feet if possible. The only thing I could change is I don’t really need or like dishwashers. Other than that, I really love the whole layout. Thanks.

      9m x 3m = ~29′ x ~10′ rounded off to the nearest foot…

I think with the pandemic and so many people losing their jobs… in the coming years… you are going to see millions of people living like this. This is a beautiful home.

I would screen in the front porch… or at least half of it. I would then put a barbecue grill inside the screened in area with a picnic table & couch.

But why? Visually you’re hemming yourself in. Leave it open… open I say…

Nicely done for $97K US dollars. I’d, of course, tweek a couple of things like a smaller kitchen, and screen in the deck, but, otherwise, it is spot on.

I love how this couple acknowledge their blessings and recognize how lucky they are to be able to live this lifestyle.

Yes they are definitely appreciative for what they have! And they worked hard for it. Nothing like living for 8 months in an RV with 6 people!

So sad about Pete’s Mum; my heartfelt condolences go out to everyone who has been affected by her passing.
Cancer is horrible. My wife is having radiotherapy for breast cancer at the moment. They don’t tell you this, but people should avoid ALL dairy products for good, especially if you are battling cancer or are prone to getting cancer. Dairy contains a hormone called IGF-1 which will grow a newly born calf into a full size cow in around 18-months, but it also feeds and promotes the growth of cancer cells in humans. Please look it up, and please tell everyone about it.
    Thank you for your attention.

So true. IGF-1 is bovine growth hormone, designed for calves to grow as you say in 18 months. Feeding it to humans is, in my opinion, an absolute mistake. Human babies take far longer to grow to optimum size. Around 12 years or so. Any wonder that humans are obese and succumbing to health issues.
