Family of 3 Living in an RV Full Time to Travel!

This is the story of Mariassa, Nathan, and their 2-year-old daughter who are living full time in their 300 sq. ft. motorhome while traveling!

In May of 2015, after more than a year of planning, we sold our home and packed up what we had left into an RV. Living with less has been an exciting journey that has opened our eyes to what the world can offer if we are not hiding behind so much stuff.5

Family of 3 Living in an RV Full Time to Travel!

Meet the Family!

Video: Family of 3 RV Full Time!

They downsized from a 1800 sq ft house to a 300 sq ft RV, which they give us a tour of, to show how much space 300 sq ft actually is.
They document their lives on youtube as “Less Junk More Journey” and we all get to join their travels with them.1

After almost 2 years of living in their motorhome, they’re downsizing again! This time into an Airstream travel trailer. Read more about that here.6

Must be nice! You think THOWs get expensive, those bus conversions tend to start at 6 figures. I’ve seen them as high as $400K. They’re very nice, though, for that price.

In their latest videos, they’ve just downsized (again) into an Airstream and selling the class A.

It’s a beautiful airstream, however, I hardly think they are “hurting” any, by living in it. I think most of us would rather see people who are trying to make it in a small converted travel trailer or a tiny built house, rather than those who are living high on the hog. This really doesn’t fits this site! Nothing against this family…. they look like wonderful people, and I think it’s great that they are giving their daughter this opportunity to see the country along with her parents. And, it’s great that they have the money to buy something this expensive and travel the country together….nothing against being well to do. But, it doesn’t fit those of us who want to see families who are living in a tiny little house! Sorry!

I think seeing people who are living alternative lifestyles can inspire many 🙂 We post our fair share of folks living in tiny houses — or their cars — and this is just one more kind of story 🙂 We have a wide variety of readers and some might be able to afford this family’s lifestyle.

You say “nothing against this family” and then your whole comment is putting them down because they have a couple more dollars than you.

I did not watch the video but good for them! Sad the little girl won’t remember much of it later though!

Nice airstream they are downsizing to. Well, why not if they can swing it. But it’s got to be tough for the child to be hauled around all the time. No stability, no friends…and what about school? What if she’s not feeling well? I hated taking long car trips when I was young. Maybe a bit selfish of the parents? I doubt she’ll remember much of what she sees…

I think at 3-year-old she doesn’t go to school. And of course 3 year olds have friends, but if they settle down once she is school-aged I think these experiences could be great!

I envy the couple going off grid with RVing. Do they go south for the winter I wonder?
Still it great that every TH comes in all shapes and sizes. More power to them!
