Think that tiny homes aren’t for families? Check out this 232 square foot tiny house on wheels that is home to two adults, two babies and a Great Dane.
From the outside, you’ll notice a beautiful rustic wooden exterior with a sloped roof on a gooseneck trailer. At one end of the trailer, you’ll see corrugated metal siding which envelopes what used to be a patio and is now the bedroom for baby Hazel and her soon-to-be baby brother.
When you go inside, you’ll find a beautiful open-concept house with a small love-seat and chair in the main living room. The color scheme consists of white and bright hues. The king-sized bed sits on the elevated portion of the trailer with underneath storage and closet space. The long kitchen lies against the front wall and includes an oven and four-burner stove, a smaller refrigerator, a microwave and a dishwasher. The butcher block counter tops allow plenty of cooking space. Lastly, the bathroom includes a stunning tile shower with a rainwater shower head.

I was looking at that thinking “this looks just like Macy’s house”. And it is! I’ve seen pictures of your house many times and have always been very impressed with it.
Gotta share this one with my wife, I want to build a 640 Sq footer for us but she says there is no way 3 people can live in that lol
Love the house, & especially the bathroom, and the way you did the bed… not in a high loft. I wish I could build one just like it, but they aren’t allowed around her,e and at my age, I don’t want to leave my family. However, I keep dreaming! I’d just like to suggest, however, closing in the bottom of the house to tidy things up a bit, plant some bushes and flowers, and maybe get a cheap shed for the toys. With the fantastic job you’ve done building the house, the landscape should be a piece of cake!
Always liked this house. Smart to expand onto the porch. Then later when the kids grow and the empty nest syndrome hits, they can open it back out. Doable to make changes, as life changes, when it’s yours and you don’t have a big ball and chain mortgage.

I love to see that more families with kids are going tiny. I cannot way to go tiny in 4 years. But one question I have about it is can kids go to public schools living tiny, like if the home was parked in RV grounds. It is the only problem I have not solved.
This home was beautiful, though and makes me feel even more excited to move in with our family of 4.
Tabetha, it shouldn’t be a problem. What schools need to enroll kids is an address. If you are in an RV park, you have an address. And, federal law requires schools to provide education to all, so if you don’t have a ‘fixed’ address, they still have to.
