Empty Nesters’ Van Life Retirement Plan

This post contains affiliate links.

Tim and Aimee are empty-nesters who wanted a way to explore — and visit their kids! They spent lockdown converting a 2019 Ford Transit with no prior building experience.

They chose to prioritize a big, comfortable bed, coffee, and a bathroom in their rig. They have a cool hidden toilet that transforms into an emergency shower when needed. The place feels cozy and functional. Take a look!

Niiice! Super nice for having no building skills. A long time ago I told my then pre teen and teen age children that one day when I retired I was going to build myself a camper in a van and go on the road as long as I was able to keep dt]riving. of course back then this was really unheard of, as they’re were no satelite-linked computers, cell phones or other keeping-in-touch devices. had I had those items and this lovely camper van, I would still be on the road!! Good luck to you. And have fun!

So this is basically for driving from A to B, with stops to get food, gas and use the facilities, right? It doesn’t look there is a way to cook.
