Eco Friendly Prefab Timber Frame House Kit

This is an eco friendly prefab timber frame house kit by Noble Homes. They sell efficient kit homes with customizable floor plans.

All the materials are easy to handle, including the lightweight SIP‘s for the walls and roof. Everything you need for the exterior of the home is contained in the kit which makes it easier to build.

Although this house is not as tiny as it looks it still has a relatively small footprint but it does boast about 1280 sq. ft. of space on single level floor plan with three bedrooms so it’s great for a family! I really like the open kitchen and living area with its large glass windows. The exposed timber beams in the living area plus the windows give the home a warm cozy feel to it too, don’t you think? Either way please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!

While I love wood here every piece is 2x’s as big as needed or most, not needed at all like the roof lumber is a costly,
    resource waste.
SIP’s are perfectly capable to spanning such a span and designed right, needs no trusses, etc.

Wow, big. All I’m seeing is housework; tons and tons of housework. Is all of this space necessary? I wonder what this would look like (same floor plan) but with all of the footage cut down.

Aside from the inevitable remarks about how “big” this is (still small compared to most homes, and a nice step toward downsizing for a lot of families), there’s no question that it’s a lovely layout. Modern yet slightly rustic, lots of windows, and I love the clean lines and simplicity! It might be larger than a “tiny” home, but it’s beautifully uncluttered. And if they don’t mind cleaning – or better yet, can afford to hire someone to clean it for them – then I say go for it.

Simple, clean lines, and lots of room…! It is like something you would rent for the summer, and then go and make it a yearly retreat to just contemplate your thoughts……
Another fine home…! Best of luck…!

Love this for my family of 5. It’s hard to find floor plans for a 3 bedroom with less than 1, 600 square feet. I can’t see us all living in 100 Sq feet but I love the idea of small homes and this one is clean lined and simply laid out.

Cool! Passive solar, made with FSC certified local lumber, great R value insulation, non toxic materials.
They offer floor several floor plans so you could do a small house/studio of 300 sq ft.
Not thrilled with the general look of the place, lacks charm.

Two bedrooms without closets ? Might work for minimalists or nudists but not practical for fulltime living .

I like its contemporary lines but I think it would be more dramatic if the siding were horizontal instead of vertical. It’s a little cold looking but maybe it is new enough that no landscaping or other hardscape has been added to make it homey. The construction would be straightforward and simple, saving costs, which is a positive. Overall it is a very good project.

It’s a nice small home. Still a smaller footprint. It’s a “kit”, you can easily do whatever you’d like with the interior/exterior. I like the open clean space. Closets can be added, or just use a dresser/armoir, and buy/use less clothes…

Any idea how much to buy kit and then how much to get their help building it? Yes, like but would take it down to two bedrooms with closets and perhaps some artsy touches, like stained glass windows here and there.
